Just a thought, but even if Anora isn't made official ruling queen by the Landsmeet, she'd still be heiress to Loghain's titles as his daughter. Which leaves her with the slightly less prestigious title of teryn assuming that she renounces her claim to the throne.

Is there a chance that a "desposed" (quotations because Anora isn't officially queen unless the landsmeet decides that she is) Anora would accept the Landsmeet decision and settle for Teryna? Is she going to rebel and use Gwaren to build an insurrection? Does she remain imprisoned for refusing to renounce her claim (however honestly small that it is)? or Does she quit politics out of disgust and grief and settle for a common life?

I imagine Anora probably spent a year in prison before being pardoned by Alistair.

He wouldn't want her locked up forever or executed.

But after a year, Anora would get the message.

That's assuming the Teyrndom of Loghain wasn't given to the Warden, of course. They might then be the first Elf, Mage, or Dwarven Teyrn in Fereldan history.

I'd say its unclear. While she should nominally be Loghain's heir, its possible that the holding would be stripped from the MacTirs in the same way that Amaranthine was stripped from the Howes. I'd say its one of those unknowns that will forever remain in the realm of speculation.

Gwaren was also overrun by the Darkspawn.

So...it may not matter.

If Anora isn't made queen that means Alistair is made king, and you can be bet pretty high that he relieved Loghain of all titles and lands upon being crowned, as he did Howe's. Alistair is not pragmatic and calculist as you can make your Warden be if you want, he took Ostagar as the highest form of treason. And since he can even give the Warden teyrnship of Gwaren, it's clear Gwaren doesn't belong to the Mac Tirs anymore. Anora has no claim to make.

That's not even to say, I doubt Alistair would ever put that much power in Anora's hands again, knowing she would put together a rebellion in her name to depose him in about 0.2 seconds. Free her, pardon her, maybe. Depends on if you hardened him or not, I guess. Give her one of the last two teyrnrs of Ferelden? He's daft, but not that much.

If Anora isn't Queen, I think the Mac Tirs would be stripped of their lands and titles. I doubt Alistair would be stupid enough to give her Gwaren and a chance to build up a power base that might enable her to try to retake the throne in the future.

That brings up an interesting question as well. Why does Anora decide to give the Warden what is basically her inheritance if she is still Queen. It makes some sense if the Warden is Prince-Consort, but it doesn't for the others.

Probably because she can't rule the land and wants to make sure the Warden supports her from that day forth.

As a crass bribe, basically.
