Ok, changing complaint to variance of races I can back a little bit, doesn't bother me but would be nice to had a female Qunari to romance or a dwarf to romance instead of more humans. I am happy with what we have though. I can understand wanting race variety at least. ![]()

Well we don't know that you gotta remember that we have hadRomance is isoutside party in the first two games technically and I believe that in dragon Age 2 Dlc Mark of the assassin we we can romance that elf lady I forget her name And In Dragon age origins we can technically romance I think about between 6 to 8 characters outside of the party members members I think that includes the characters from the origin stories but I may be mistaken so who knows we may be able let just wait and see until the game, come out

Bioware said there is at least one character outside the companions and advisors you can flirt with.
they also specified that it was nowhere near a romance. at best it would be a Kelly Chambers or that reporter chick.

Can flirt with Tallis, Aveline, Teagan, and others without something happening. Just adding a few DA characters that was flirtable, over picking out ME characters in a DA forum. ![]()

Not to mention you can seduce Cammen or Gheyna, have the opportunity to sleep with those two people in the Human Noble origin, etc. And there were a lot of people who made passing comments about the female Warden like Jarvia and Ruck (I don't know about the male Warden).
Basically the purpose of this post is to say that Teagan should have been a romance option.

I don't consider Aveline or Teagan as examples and I see Tallis as pure fan service.

I liked flirting with Teagan.
I kind of wish I could've trolled Alistair with it but that's neither here or there.

As a female warden, they can flirt with Teagan, he responds too. Whereas Aveline is oblivious to the flirting which is an option. Regardless if Tallis is fan service or not, she is still flirtable too. Cullen can be flirted on by a female mage before leaving the Tower.
There are many flirtations, regardless if they was very minor or little complex, it still is flirting.

If you are considering any of those romances then we define romances differently. flirting once or a fade to black sex scene is not a romance. Not one that is worth straight girls getting two full romances.
Sorry, I'm just not that optimistic.

Correction, dwarven females and Qunari females, straight, only have 2 options
humans have 3 options
elves have 4 options.
Oh the injustice!
Did you complain when female straights only had Garrus (the other two ditched or died)?
Nope, cause the male got all but one of the women available to him....oops. ![]()
Just the female straight elf has the 4 options. Just the elf!
One should have an issue and complain about is a bi female elf with 6 options.
Or complain about elven females instead, please try again.
I still want to say, "Wah!" to the whiners, honestly, to me its, whatevah, I will enjoy all the options.

Man this just got me bummed out. I hope my femPC doesn't have to see Blackwall die
She can take care of herself yeah but still.
Late reply, but:
Not in-game I bet. I for one am sick of Grey Wardens altogether and I am sick of having them in my party, nevermind as romances (for women no less, ugh). Go act like scumbags and die tragically on someone else's time please.

Flirt/one night stand is not romance

Blackwall is Thane v.2.0 I guaranty it. I wonder or some female like this type, tragic romance story?

Some do like it. I do not at all and never will. It makes me feel like I am being punished for my preference when others get happier endings with their preferences. I liked Thane from previews (cool, calm assassin) before we knew anything about his illness. When I learned about that it was like a kick in the gut.

At least in Dragon Age that doesn't seem to be an issue thus far. You could have a happy ending with Alistair if you were a human noble or didn't put him on the throne as another race (or hardened him if you did for those that consider being a mistress a happy ending.) The romance with Zevran ended well, too. Anders ending wasn't exactly happy, but if you didn't kill him he showed up in the epilogue. Unless Fenris was given to Denarius I'd say that romance ended well. I guess circumstances in the next game might tell us how these relationships really turned out since Hawke and the Warden are missing and all that, but the point is that none of the romance options for straight female options in Dragon Age have had to die...yet. I guess we'll see if that changes in Inquisition.

Well how about that elf lady in the human noble origins I think her name is lona if she was in the game a bit further on she may have been a romance character outside teammates because the way she talks to the character it felt like she wish to get to know that character and a bit more I mean not like a one night stand that bit more and that's one thing that I keep thinking of plus there was a few other characters That could easily be then romances outside the party mates if the story could not stop it like the city Eilf Origins that's the thing I'm saying we do not know if There will be Romance is outside the party members and advises I'm if you look at it Star wars The old Republic had had romances outside of the party members if you choose to of coarse but that's just a Sample of what I'm saying I mean if you look at it even one night stands in that game are typically Romance so if you look at it one way in Dragon age origins we have and I stressed this technically have romance outside the number of official Number of of romance limit I mean I'm not counting The people working at the power or the place in the Dragon age 2I forget its name sorry but yeah
That's what I'm thinking okay
No, seriously. They've flat-out said there won't be any other Romances other than the 8 in the Companions and Advisors. That's what they said.

I just wish people would play the game first before complaining about the characters and romances we know next to nothing about.
Been saying that one since April.
I'm with you there.
If I was going to decide who I was going to romance based upon pre-release information, I would be a very lonely dwarven Inquisitor. At a first glance, none of the bisexual LIs or straight male LIs are to my taste. I'm not giving up on the idea of romancing someone in DA:I though.
As it stands, I'm really looking forward to meeting them and seeing what their personality is like. I might find Iron Bull to my taste, or maybe Blackwall (if I feel like potentially getting my heart crushed. I swear, it seems like he's gonna be Thane all over again.) It's just too soon to judge.

Well I've been through this rodeo before but on the other side. Before ME2 came out and we didn't really know much about the characters, I saw that male Shepards got two hot women (Miranda and Jack) and one hot woman with weird legs and hands and a mask but a clearly human body and face (Tali) as LI and female Shepards got a giant frog man and a bird dinosaur as LI's with their only attractive option being Jacob. I was annoyed and felt left out, but when I actually played the game I loved Thane and Garrus (didnt pay much attention to him in ME1) and their romances and I totally changed my mind. Same thing with DA2, I was ready to hate Isabella (random shallow sex appeal I assumed)and Fenris (childish, emo, anime knockoff I assumed) but I ended up loving both. I also expected to love Anders like I did in DAA and that certainly didnt happen.@Nefla As much as I whine, you are right :-)
Just keep an open mind and wait for the game to come out. You may find your options phenomenal and hold them up as the standard to measure future romances by. You may end up thinking other characters are so awesome that you're willing to roll an alt of a different gender or orientation to experience that content and perspective and it may blow you away.
