What about all the bacteria inside you body..? Or all the little creatures that call a human home? Sentient headlice?

I know I answered this before.. but the answer is rather simple.

The bacteria are replaced by synthetic parts.

Elegant and beautiful :P

I thought it would only affect self-aware creatures. Regardless, I think a lot of the younger races would assume that they have evolved in some way.

What about the worm things that are burrowed around every one of our eyelashes right now?

Synth could be as simple as replacing the deoxyribose part of DNA with synthetic parts.

You guys are all overthinking it :P

Yeah, about that... is your clothing now a part of you? Can you take it off, or will you have to take a shower (is the circuitry waterproof?) and put yourself through a tumble dry cycle each morning, listening to the dryer make snide comments about your weight as you're jangled about?

Your body cleans itself now. No need to shower

Odd that synthesis gives you credit for completing the game, but refuse does not.

They would probably think it was some sort of divine intervention by whatever god or gods the inhabitants believe in.

I like the notion that: we made god, and then it remade us... in its image.

Because Refuse is Bioware flipping the table and declaring "Rocks fall, everyone dies!"

While Synthesis is The Ultimate Happy Ending You'd Have To Be An Idiot To Not Pick.

Not really. Shepard/the player fails to complete the game's objective in Refuse, but succeeds in Sync. Why would you get credit for the failure?

I expect a lot of religious cults bursting out claiming it as an evidence of the God's existence.

Been that way since one monkey looked at the sun and told the other monkey "He said for you to give me your f*cking share!"

Well, there's the jacana (sometimes referred to as the Jesus bird), which kind of walks on water.

Like the quarians' envirosuits, you now emit your own mass effect fields that break up waste. Elkoss Combine will no longer get our hard-earned credits selling toilets and urinals. You're welcome.

EDI makes the point that everyone is now interconnected and they use that to share the combined knowledge of all the civilisations that came before them ( The Rachni have an organic QEC for example not hard to imagine a synthetic one)  "i require only one interaction" learning isn't as hard for synthetics as it is for organics it wouldn't be hard to come to terms with what just happened. I don't see any reason why parasitic life wouldn't be synthesised it merges everything which probably includes what they feed off of, yuck anyway.

A synthesised rock now that would be something to talk about.
