Indeed! All the degenerates of Thedas will feel the fury of the cleansing light!
Then you, too, will send Gaspard to the hereafter? To begin his repentance in the Maker's presence?

Still pretending Gaspard wouldn't have done the same! He would've likely made some sort of theatrics out of it even. Supporting Gaspard is akin to how republicans are always screaming at Obama to go to war with whatever middle eastern country they hate this week, or else "he's weak."
yeah maybe we don't know for sure because she took matters in her own hands
but still she would be the hypocritical and weak ruler because after claiming to care about elves just burning them at the first sight of danger on her throne is just bad
No elf will take her seriously anymore after that I know I woudnt't
Who will restore Orlais into the greatest nation in Thedas.
The Empire needs to be strong.
Thedas needs a shield against the Qunari and Tevinter isn't strong enough or politically viable for the role.
Who will restore Orlais into the greatest nation in Thedas.
In that case I might have to choose Celene.
Who will restore Orlais into the greatest nation in Thedas.
Celene.
Who throw Orlais into chaos due to his own pride?
Gespard.
But is does make zeons fight pointless.
No, It just revealed the utter corruption of the Federation, it doesn't excuse seventy plus years of forcing tens of millions of people under thumb with out representation, it doesn't excuse them dictating people that aren't even on earth as if they are second class citizens.
The Federation was a dragon to be slain and nothing more.
Pity it ended up just buckling under its own weight, it deserved less.

Every time you say hyocritical I burst out laughing. Lying is literally the only way to survive in Orlesian politics.
Celene.

Gespard.
People seriously think Ferelden could lose to Orlais with Alistar as king?
and yet he's still a better ruler than Celene
How?
Celene is the ruler who make Orlias Politically and financially stable. Gespard just want to turn it into a war machine. If fact the civil war he brought on made the country weaker.
People seriously think Ferelden could lose to Orlais with Alistar as king?
._.
Good point, Gaspard can just offer Alistair lyrium.
No need for invasion.

Ferelden is weak due to the Blight and would have struggled to keep Orlais out even before that. Doesn't matter who's on the throne.

Quickest cleanest annexation in Imperial history.

Very unrealistic as well.

I'm no fan of the federation but I'm no fan of Zeon ether. So many innocents died because one side could not fallow it's own set beliefs and another were zealots.

I'd also be interested in learning if there's any conflicts between the nobles with Alistair (due to being a bastard and new to politics) and Anora (due to essentially having commoner blood).
Very unrealistic as well.
Yeah. It can be funny to joke about, but with Orzammar located in Ferelden, there's always supply.....unless I guess if Harrowmont became king and isolated Orzammar.
Very unrealistic as well.
Pfft! We all know how easy it will be to get Alistair the Lyrium fiend to hand over the reigns of power.
Hell I'm just wonderin whether Bhelen or Gaspard will make the offer first.

A neither, even if married, having heirs.

Ferelden has less people due to the fight but are more war harden. Added, they are open to mages.
Humor aside.
Gaspard was leading men into battle before Alistair was in short pants.
Not to mention apart from his much larger pool of experience, he also was actually instructed in how to lead campaigns.
It would be a joke of an invasion.
Alistair is no Loghain Mac Tir.

I'm just hoping for a choice but I think there has to be one
I mean why set it all up in the book? I definitely think we will solve it and at the end we can decide who will rule Orlais
and support the Inquisition
I will be pissed of it they force Celene on us just because they don't want to have a similiar choice like in DA:O
Also if there is a choice this debate will go on for years to come as opposed to forcing any of them

Less people, less natural resource, less money. Ferelden would lose.
Humor aside.

Pfft. Alistair got the expert leadership training that I assume all templars get if Cullen's any indication.

Orlias would be weakened by it civil war.
Ferelden would have more mages on their side because their country is open to giving mages more freedom.
Navarra would be on Orlias back side.

True, they talk of Gaspard's war expertise. Yet, the country would be split in two, and the only one to blame would be Gaspard. Let's see him fight two wars at once. He's too arrogant for his own good.
