That's every last one of them.
Haven't seen all of them. But that one stands out. Think of it as a threshold.

Just imagine your sword is enchanted to split open the ground like that.
Magic, snort snort.

It would be nice if they actually did show us something new.
I guess this is for people who aren't geeky enough to hunt round gameplay videos and these forums.

An attack that has a character spinning around to do an attack equals cartoony. We had that from DAO.

Lore first.
When has that even happen in combat in da?

As long as its better than DA 2's warriors which were boring. pretty much just slide and slash.
i loved the two handers in DAO.

Warrior class is always basic in any rpg. It's ether attack, tank, or/and buff. What more can they do with a class based around straight forward attacks.

Splitting the ground and creating a shock wave of energy, while at the same time being in capable of using any magic, is way worse than someone spinning around with a sword.

It didnt feel that way in DAO but now ever since DA2 it seems bio is going for the mmo type of tankiness.....

No, they are both equally cartoony.

I don't know what everyone is talking about. I can totally pick up a sledgehammer and make earth shattering cracks IRL.....I can also throw fireballs and I can totally disappear and reappear to stab someone in the back.
True story.

You do realize spinning around with a weapon is pretty much just as cartoony as creating a shockwave, right?
I mean, let's not pretend realism was ever something important for this series, or that the ability breaks new grounds (pun intended).

Nope. Because spinning around while holding a sword is actually possible to do. Chopping a sword down into the ground and sending a shockwave of energy through the huge gash in the ground you just created, isn't. If magic had been involved, yes. Since magic isn't involved, it makes zero sense.

Try doing that in battle or with two long swords. Or even attacking a group while spinning 2 swords or diggers on your fingers. Yay, not very good results. It's cartoony because in game it works while in real life no way can it work in combat.

Never said it was a smart move. Just that it is physically possible to do.

Physically possibility is not the sole definition of cartoony. If it was every mage skill would still be cartoony.

Well the move I mentioned belongs in an episode of the Power Rangers, or something. If you love it, great. I won't use that ability because I will struggle to take the story serious because of it. End of discussion.
