I've always thought television series would be the way to go. I just don't have high hopes for a ME movie. I realize some people wont be happy about the cast, the love interest, etc., but I just want to see the characters stay their characters. I don't want to see changes like: TIM turns good and Cerberus joins forces with the Alliance, Captain Anderson turns out to be an agent for the Reapers, the Shadow Broker is really an Elcor, humans rule the galaxy, etc.. Hollywood has turned books and old TV shows into unrecognizable films and have added crazy non-existent plot twists; I don't want it to happen to my favorite video game.

Not sure which Network, I would hope HBO or Showtime (at least they wouldn't put a character in a shower while wearing a bra). I'd be ok with an animated series.

Honestly, I'd rather make my own ME series by editing game footage; I can show it to family and friends who don't play video games and have never heard of Mass Effect - the story is that good. I think they'd be surprised at how a video game could have so much depth to it.

If it does get made into a movie, I'll probably watch it anyway. I'll wait until I can rent it, so I'm only out a few dollars.

If a TV series would ever happen its obviously going to be male Shepard (80% of play through involve male Shepard), but tbh I'd rather not have a TV series about Shepard or his/her adventures but instead expand the universe with new characters and new plot lines.

A TV series based in ME universe with out Shepard is the way to go, a female turian as a LI possible

A movie would have the budget to do justice to the setting, but a TV show would allow for more fleshed out characters. Tough choice but I'll have to go with movie.

A TV show wpuld honestly be better, even though stuff would have to be changed to accommodate for the budget, simply because mass effect is all about characters and story and honestly, a movie doesn't have the time to include deep character development. Unless they do a series of movies, but even then.

Work in progress based on my first Shepard. Constantly tweaking. I have short blurbs of each "episode" written in a composition book somewhere. To this day I know more about sci-fi television production than video games, I think. I've applied that knowledge to this little pet project and would expand upon many elements of the series were this the format chosen and were I, well, in the industry. I'm aware the length appears unnecessary to some, but this is built around the dream foundation of bygone big-budget traditional cable storytelling, especially in the first season, which would be able to paint a good introductory depiction of the lore with those so-called "filler" assignment plots you see up there, as well as allowing the ME1 cast ample development, a thing which is lacking in the game itself.

Pipedream of mine to make it happen, not far behind "travel through every country in the world" and "cure cancer."

So yeah. TV.

Great stuff.

But you know you can start the season 1 with The First Contact War, a young Anderson, The Illusive Man (and you show how he started Cerberus), young Saren, and a little Shepard (you can include ME Revelation in this season at the end it would be a prologue to season 2), and Season 2 you start with ME1.
