Probably not. The only two romances I'm interested in are Cassandra and possibly Dorian. The rest I can read about on the forums.
Are you going to try to RP a different gender for a LI?

It may take a few play throughs but I definitely want to play a male for Dorian. I have struggled in the past 2 games to play a male and keep interested in one long enough to complete.
I am a straight woman so I naturally find a straight romance from a woman's perspective the most appealing and easiest to engage in but Dorian's story intrigues me and I really want to see him with a dalish elf. And if I manage to do that and depending on how much I like the male character, I want to roll another for Cassandra. I have no opinion on Josie at the moment, don't know much about her that I want to romance her yet. So I have at least 2 planned for now.

I will play the opposite Gender, but that's not because of any of the LIs...

No. I'm a straight man and I cannot relate to women and gay men in a sense that I really do not know how they think, their thought processes, etc. I can understand that they are different than me and they have different sexual interests but I find it hard to be them, even in a virtual setting.
So I will try to but I will just give up and go back to being a straight male Inquisitor. I have tried playing female protagonists or gay protagonists a lot of times before for the sake of roleplaying and I found that "Yeah, I am essentially just playing me but with female body" / "I am just capitalizing on my hot lesbian fetish here". I find that type of roleplaying is not right or sensible. It is certainly fun to roleplay in such a fashion but it doesn't feel right to do it.

I'll probably try a female MC at some point but it's not for a particular LI.
I didn't even plan anything related to the LIs as male so yeah.

I'd roll male Inquisitor anyways, I like playing with characters who are different and although LI's are one quite big reason to play different gender there is other reasons like VA's as well
Even if every LI was bi I'd still play with both genders.

I will try once I'm done having an overdose of my f/f . But I'm not expecting it to work . It was (in my experience) easier to roll a dude when it wasn't voiced (like in BG2 or Kotor games) .Hopefully I be able to...cose I want to see all the romances ![]()

The Romance stories are fun in the game. I usually play a couple of different characters in these games just to try the story arcs out. I really don't take it all that serious, for me, I just like milking the game for all it is worth.

First, I always play opposite gender at least once, more if I like the female protagonist characterization (like Marian Hawke or Shepard, Bioware did a great job with them).
Concerning the romances, probably, it will depend of Dorian and Sera. If I find them interesting, with good personnality, great potential, traits I like, I may want to romance them.
For now, I can't say which character I will romance, I don't know them. I want to discover them during my adventures and see if I befriend or romance or kill them ^^

Since the character i was most interested in(sera) has been gated off from my preferred roleplaying gender i will probably attempt to try and roleplay as a female character at a later date to access that content. It's dependent on if i find the game compelling enough to replay multiple times and whether i roleplaying that character a tall enjoyable.

I've played female characters before, but usually in games where they're premade like Borderlands or fighting games.
Lately though, I've had playthroughs off both Mass Effect and Dragon Age 2 as female characters, though they're both gay.
Well, Shepard's as gay as she can be anyway.
So yeah, either my second or third playthrough will be a female Qunari who romances Sera.

I really disliked Male Hawkes voice in DA2, SO Inever really finished any play through with him. However the british male inquisitors voice is awesome, So I will defiantly be playing a male.

I always play at least one playthrough for each romance available (except for Merrill...I couldn't do it, it felt like taking advantage of a child! I feel dirty flirting with her >_<)
In Origins I did one playthrough as female and one as a male for each bisexual romance.
It is a part of roleplaying.
In real life I am as straight as straight can be, I have never felt attracted to another woman, but I like playing as a gay female.
Or a gay man.
Or a man romancing all the ladies.
So I will once again romance all available LI's - unless there is one I just really don't want to romance...like Merrill ( I am sorry all Merrill-lovers out there, I am glad it worked for you but I just...can't)
It's fun!
And the romance dialouge is usually some of the best and I don't want to miss out on any of it ![]()
And I don't like to decide on before hand which character I will romance but based on what I know so far...*longing sigh* Cullen.
But I really want to romance Dorian, he seem like such an awesome character ![]()

Will I try playing male inquisitor? Sure. Will that be because of LI? Not really I guess. I mean... If while playing male character I will find some romance option tempting I will probably try it out. But thing which I enjoyed most in DA2 and Mass Effect series while playing male characters were voices... Call me weird but I just enjoy to see how male voice actor interpretation differs from female voice actress one.
So there you go. That's my motivation. Voice actors. ![]()

I play females 95% of the time. I will might roll up a male character to romance cass eventually, but honestly I know I wouldn't bother for Dorian.

For Cullen. Maybe Blackwall.

Of course, the times that I've played a male in a RPG are the playthroughs that I've had the most fun on.

No, I just generally play as female characters. Romances are superficial to me at best.

In the previous games, I've rolled males specifically to romance Zevran, Fenris and Anders with, and in ME I rolled a male Shep specifically to romance Kaidan with too. I'll always prefer playing females above all else, but I do enjoy how the gay romances play out in the franchise.
The one thing I'm not at all inspired to do is roll a male to romance Cass with, unfortunately. I love her character, but it's the old "every other game in the world forces me to play a straight male" - in the one game that doesn't, I just can't be bothered. Not when there are so many other possibilities to explore.

I'm female and I prefere characters of my own gender. So I play female characters first, but for my second or third playthrough I usually play the opposite gender. I like the variety. However, this time I might try a same sex romance. I have never played one before but I'm interested in romancing Joesphine or Sera with a female character.
