Yep, same here. Even though a good deal of the things I heard leading up to the release made me realise I was not going to like DA II anywhere near as much as DA:O, I still wanted to give it a shot, because I found the world interesting and because I was hoping that I wouldn't mind some of those things as much as I thought I would. That wasn't the case, but I still managed to make at least one character I liked and play through the game.

Plus, there just aren't that many RPGs around that even completely meet my personal definition of being an RPG at all (I have a narrower definition of that than some), so I tend to play any RPG that comes around.

Because the first game is my favorite game of all time, so it only made sense that I bought the sequel more or less automatically.

yeaaaaa...this was my Hawke.  I wanted Varric to tell some epic fight, but instead I get the feeling he was spreading around the tru...I mean RUMOR that my Hawke 'ran around the room in circles screaming like a little girl taking potshots at the Arishok's knees'.

Since it was an assassinate arrow to the groin that finally brought him down on my archer, that wasn't far from the truth.

Have tried using combustion grenades? That stuff really works. Thanks to that I managed to make the Arishok duel half as lame.
