Post whatever quote best fits your Shepard or if you have many Shepards, like myself, post a quote for each.

If there is one defining trait for Shepard it is probably grim determination. He isn't going to yield no matter what gets thrown at him, and he is either going to accomplish the mission or die trying. I think any quote that sort of taps into that works. The Churchill quote posted above is a great one.

This is less about a specific Shepard and more about the idea of Shepard, from me to him/her.

He did NOT have:

 

• The genius of Einstein
• Wisdom of Solomon
• Diplomacy of Winston Churchill
• Humility of Gandhi
• Etiquette of Emily Post

 

-or experience of-

 

• Fireman
• Physicist
• Judge
• Juggler and
• Clown-ccuumm-laude (with fairly telepathic and strong clairvoyant tendencies)

 

Despite lacking all these – IMHEO he had three rare qualities that I believe matter:

 

• Character
• Passion
• Leadership

 

And BTY – politicians don’t have “leadership” because they use the word in every other sentence.

 

These are qualities that are not TAUGHT in academia – you either DO or DON’T have them – and if you DO, you can choose to develop them.

The accurate Greek translation is "chloris" where we get the word chlorophyll from.  GREEN horse.  That was total nonsense to the translators so they “fudged” it with the word PALE.

 

Considering what’s been happening in world events – I think you’re smart enough to connect all the dots to the word GREEN.   ‘nuff said.
