(Excuse my average english)

Okay.

My message is for Bioware because they are the programmers, the creators of this wonderful game.

When I do connected to Origin, nearly everyday, and looked at the scoreboard, I feel deeply disgusted to see that all the top players are cheaters.

Why?

How could it not exist a simple tool to prevent cheating, like code integrity checker or max exp/credits gains?

I'm not a programmer and my knowledge about that is less than average but I can imagine that the code could be encrypted, and the encryption could be changed every week.

For you, Bioware, the message we get as players, customers and (frequent, for me) users of your multiplayer games, when we do connected to Origin and see all this top scorers /cheaters is clear to me:

We, Bioware, DON'T CARE (...because, hey, calm down, it's just a game).

It's costly to keep the room clean. (i suppose)

YOU, users, have the responsability to flag cheaters (nice when they play with friend cheaters)

And now, if you play, it's because you have bought our game so the rest... no, really, we don't care.

You know what, Bioware?

Until I have a clear answer about why it is so common and easy to cheat, I will assume that you really don't care.

And as a (future?) customer, I really don't like to be take for granted.

I really enjoy the game since two years now. Great job for most of the rest of the work.

Albi

While I understand what you're saying, I can't say anything other than Bioware isn't supporting the game anymore. They should be all in on ME4 now. Cheaters will cheat, I'm sorry. The only cheating that really bugs me out, is when people alter their weapons or do the missile glitch. Credit hacks don't really affect other players (unless it's a hacked lobby), so I don't care if people give themselves a little extra money. The store is broken beyond repair, so I don't judge those players. People that ruin other people's games, are the ones I do have a problem with.

People who don't cheat know they're near the top anyways. Doesn't matter who hacks if you can figure out for yourself who hasn't, the upper threshold to achieve if you view a position on a leaderboard as somehow being 'swag worthy' or whatever.

I'm in the top 5.3k of people in the world by CP, since the % of people in that bracket who cheated is probably minimal (~1-.5%), So I'm still only 5200thNo need to get butthurt over whether that's different by fifty people up. That difference is just a Gold challenge anyways :P

1: They don't care - the game is out of support.

2: As soon as the MP game was put on P2P with the game files being on the host's machine, on PC, it was doomed to be hacked and there's not an awful they could do about it since the data is travelling from host to peer and vice versa with the only server intervention being EA's authentication server (AFAIK).

You have to understand that resources can only be devoted to a product so long. At some point a company must focus their attention elsewhere to generate profit. It's not a matter of not caring, it's a matter of not having enough resources to go around in every direction.

There has always been cheating in video games, there always will be. IDK if it's possible to stop someone from exploiting. The only thing you can do is police the game for as long as you can. Banning takes more than you think as well. You can't just ban everyone that someone files a complaint on, you have to follow up and make sure that the person is really cheating before banning them. That takes time and people to do.

If all of your resources are focused on policing a game that is a few years old then you can't focus on making bad ass new games that make your company money. IDK that all of Bioware's employees care but there are definitely some that do care. Guys like Bryan Johnson, Jos Hendriks, and Derek Hollan take time out of their day to answer questions even when we constantly ****** and complain about what a crap job Bioware is doing. IDK if I could wade through the constant stream of BS that is BSN to support the fans like that. Just my personal rant.

There's always people who are going to cheat and you well never root them out completely, no matter what a company does.

That said, this product is no longer officially supported past server availability. As far as we know, they don't ban players any longer (they used to do banwaves). Is that regrettable? Yes. It is BioWare's fault? No. Finite ressources mean a finite amount of support for any product and this one has been supported for longer than the fans and even BioWare would have dared to guess.

The only thing you can do when you encounter a cheater is either live with it, quit the match, or if you're feeling particularily vengeful that moment: troll them.

As for BioWare's stance on this whole thing:

There is no stance. because there is no longer a ME3 team that could issue a statement.

The only cheat that frustrates me is the missile glitch, because it creates a game which is not fun to play, and I subsequently quit and thus lose my consumables.

People exploiting the store, or some high score bsn scoreboard... I could not care less.  It has no impact on my enjoyment of the game.

I've never run into a missile glitcher, but I think the only hax that'd bother me is the team switch one, and maybe the 50 enemy one or the 120+ fps one, if I wasn't expecting it.

I have not run into too many glitchers because I usually avoid platinum due to horrible game lobbies.  the one to be honest that irks me a great deal is the FB Hydra hide on the pipes cheat.  I really hate that.

Back when I played platinum more regularly, I would see a missile glitch in about 20-30% of pugs.  Frequent enough that I pretty much stopped doing platinum pugs.

I play gold only, so that's probably why. Sorry to hear it's that bad on platinum.

May I suggest a work around while you wait for Bioware's response. Stop looking at the leader board.

N7 + CP don't matter. All that really counts is if you're in the top 1% of the boards so you can look down on everyone else.

Platinum?? Whoa, whoa. I wanted to brag, but I didn't want to have to actually prove anything.
