Bioware used to ban cheaters but now they dont care anymore, it is a shame that the top players are cheating or hacking. They want to be number 1 without wasting more time playing MP. The fact that some of them manage to hack not only pc but also consoles that is what really sucks.

its not alright that it's so simple to hack your way to the top of the ratings board and without censure from Bioware/EA. I can understand that it can get very frustrating.

On the other hand, its very simple to differentiate between all the people who have hacked their way to ridiculous N7 / CP levels and  players who have clearly invested the time, effort and skill required.

So don't worry about it too much, the realistic player standings are obvious to anyone who cares about them, like yourself and other members of the ME community.

Hi Zig. I began to feel a little alone here. :¬] Damn, I came with the idea that blasting cheating would be a free lunch and I should get an easy approbation of many. Ehhh, error. I found some unexpected resistance (indoctrination?) about the idea of killing cheating (not cheaters, eh it's just a game.)... WTH?? The average form of resistance on my 1st post is: "shut the fu** up". Interesting.

Cheating wasn't condoned, but the game is no longer supported. The topic is not new. If you search there are countless posts railing against cheaters. Quite a few include BSN's own brand of vigilante justice.
Bioware is aware of the exploits. They did what they could to punish and prevent.

I have faith that they will be taking the lessons learned into the next iteration.

You just missed the boat by a year or so.

As long as it's kept in private games it doesn't really bother me, but cheaters in public games is a different story. After 400 hours played on PC I have to say though that I've only come across very few cheaters (really bad players that bring the team down is far more common).

It's not that hard to detect them though, see someone with 1500 CP and an UR X? Most likely a cheater (a quick check of time played in the n7hq will confirm it), but then again I've only had the misfortune to encounter cheaters very rarely.

DA:I and ME4 won't be different, cheaters will soon show up to ruin the fun of people that prefer to play the game on the intended challenge and progression level.

I do agree though that the RNG store is very frustrating and should be changed in future games, but it does in no way justify credit cheating etc in public games, if you want to cheat stick to private games with others that also can't be bothered to play the game the way it's intended to.

"I have faith that they will be taking the lessons learned into the next iteration." So do I. Here is my little brick for the future ME4 game, if I am lucky.

"You just missed the boat by a year or so." Not exactly. Right that I don't come here often. But I got a good part of those discussions.

"They did what they could to punish and prevent." Ah! Most of the unknown, for me, is there! I know there are some unknowns in the interaction between Bioware and EA and their both needs may differ. Maybe Bioware could but didn't had the resources or the time allowed by EA to write some extra code lines design to make a efficient tool to check the code integrity or - damn - just encrypt the base code and update the base code by uploading a new encryption key weekly, daily for everyone... I don't know. It's easy to say that if they (game makers) didn't do that, it because it can't be done. Tell me (Bioware, skillful programmers) that there is nothing more to do than what was done and I will just continue my way, dealing with the presence of an ineradicable vermin.

Anyway. I feel repeating myself like an old creepy man so my points are clear, I'll not hammered them infinitely.

My heart is lighter now. :¬] That was the second goal of my intervention and it's achieved.

Long life to the ME3 multiplayers servers, where I found a fantastic community, with passionate, honest and righteous some new friends and even if the vermin is gnawing my pleasure a few, I'll be there until the end.

I had a player with N7 rating of 89,000 join my lobby but he left suddenly.  Didn't catch his ID.  I'm not saying that he/she has cheated to get that because it is doable if you can invest the time - its just the highest I've ever come across.

mmmm.... Crashsuit, about this guy

Near 300 hours here, and the only cheater I've found so far is some idiot who somehow managed to activate a kind of "one-side Friendly Fire", and kept on screwing and killing other players. Well, that and Fly Mode.

As some people said, that and missile glitchers are the only cheaters I personally hate. I couldn't care less if someone gets millions of credits to buy the things he wants from a completely broken store. Next time let US choose what to buy, Bioware :P

The funny thing about this guy is that he's actually a good player. He has a Vancouver/Geth Platinum solo on Youtube somewhere, I think he got 2x targets as well.

I have no idea why he cheats because he clearly doesn't need it.

Are you sure the solo is legit?  I only trust solos from BSNers with a good rep.

I disagree with that. What people do to boost their credits is noone's business IMO - that's neither malicious towards other players, or is gonna prevent me from having fun in a match (in fact, the better the equipment, the more succesful (and thus fun) a match may be). Something that can't be said about a team killer (literally....with friendly fire on, somehow), or a missile glitcher.

Bioware dug their own tombs when they made RNG the way it is, so now they can't complain that there are holes in the ground. Best way to avoid cheating begins with having a fair and normal store. Or at least a trade system.

I only watched the first half, but it looked pretty legit.

Also it's listed in the Platinum solo hall of fame but it doesn't actually link to the video.

Cheating is cheating, blaming the system is just a way of rationalizing it. Credit hacking is more tolerated at this stage of the game though, so just be honest about it.

Isn't that how we roll these days in the Western world?

Everybody's all about 'ooh he's breaking the law, omg'... unless that law somehow negatively effects themselves, then the law is stupid and should be ignored because.. reasons.

According to my therapist I have too many real issues to worry about people cheating in a coop game.

Of course that guy is a total ******* so you guys are probably right.

Where should we rank this problem in the grand scheme? Slightly below world peace?

If you re-read my post carefully, you'll realize I never said it wasn't cheating (at least technically). Just saying that you're not gonna see me crying about somebody using it.

I do. Because I have the coolest number. 3000 and 120, respectively.
