Please do not use that term.
I'm assuming you mean the 'T' one, sorry wasn't aware it was considered offensive, thought it was the same as saying 'White' or 'Hispanic' or whatever shorthand.

I found this meme which I lmao at...

The guy who must have been trolling
Joan of Arc, actually.
Really? After reading about how Tevinter acknowledges her importance but does not approve of worshiper her directly like the white chantry does, I thought she was more like Mary. Where most Catholics think praying to her is entirely appropriate, where as many protestants feel worshiping anyone but God/Christ is essentially blasphemy even if it is Mary.
A popular theory is that this is her.

What's also kind of confusing is that we apperantly know the name of her mother. She's apperantly the daughter of an Alamarri chieftain and was married to a chief as well Was she ever a slave? Or was that part added later?
Did she escape slavery and then married Mafareth? Or where they both slaves?
She is basically like the Thedas female version of Jesus I guess
...............
Joan of Arc, actually.
I think Bioware said somewhere that both of these are correct and that Andraste is kind of like "Imagine if Joan of Arc and Jesus Christ were the same person".
It's very offensive (it's basically a slur).I'm assuming you mean the 'T' one, sorry wasn't aware it was considered offensive, thought it was the same as saying 'White' or 'Hispanic' or whatever shorthand.
She was conceived as a Joan of Arc-type character (that's where David got the inspiration for her).Really? I think he meant if the Jesus figure in the religion were actually a Joan of Arc-type character.I think Bioware said somewhere that both of these are correct and that Andraste is kind of like "Imagine if Joan of Arc and Jesus Christ were the same person".
I wasn't trying it to imply you insulted anyone, sorry if it came across that way. Was just pointing out that's a whole new can of worms that is probably best left un-opened.
oh ok i know its a sensitive issue for some so i try to be PCTrust me, you're fine. Postulating that maybe the Maker is female hardly is an insult against the LGBT community, in my opinion.
next thing you know this will turn into a thread to discuss them trying to change a certain nfl teams name....

Oh hells no! I know the term 'Packers' may make more than one man [and woman, who isn't into that type of play] squeemish but that is no reason to change a proud long standing franchise's name ![]()
I hope they will keep the facts surrounding Andraste vague, just like they have done with the Maker. I'll be perfectly happy if they never reveal who or what the being touching the Inquisitor actually is.
A popular theory is that this is her.
We don't actually know the context of what is going on here, but of all the multiple possibilities, I think it is Justinia-the hat/shape/etc-and is a result of her being at the epicenter of that massive explosion, I could be entirely wrong as it is just suposition on my part. If it is Justinia I think we will learn that in game, if it is not, then it will be left open to our own vague interpretation of events as to whether it was Andraste or just some Spirit. It could also possibly be based on our character we are playing, meaning a Dalish would see something else entirely as part of their world view, but that might be expecting too much. What I am certain of is that it isn't the big bad tricking you as you are referred to as a mistake or accident I believe in the enemy of thedas trailer.

The Alamarri were enslaved by Tevinter I believe, but with the blight their influence in southern thedas receded as they attempted to rebuild and I believe the Alamarri rose up and attacked them. They married right before they started attacking the imperium, but after she began speaking out about the maker I beleive.
