Currently I am going through all the released (officially and unofficially) DA:I gameplay videos and have realised that all of the demos were played (presumably) on Xbox 1. Not starting a console war or anything but I was wondering if you guys could/ would release some videos on other platforms just to see a stable game.

I remember the disparity with PS3 and 360 with ME3 for example and also some issues with the PS3 versions of DA:O as well as if I remember correctly DA:2. I'm hoping the reason that they are only showing it right now on Xbox1 is because of some agreement with MS with whom I know there is premiere content. But I just want to make sure that the game I intend to purchase alongside my PS4 will be stable.

This is not a post about 1080p 30/60fps, I would simply like if possible to see the game up and running on my system of choice to put myself at ease.

I think that maybe PC players may also like to see how their control scheme in action, as far as I am aware only the controller layout has been displayed.

I read from some other players in the PC spec forum that they were showing at least some of the demos (maybe all?) on a PC with a XBox1 controller adapted for it. (I'm sure 'adapted' is not the right word.)

As far as I know everything up till the most recent playthoughs have been on pc.  I agree though, it'd be nice to see the game in action on the other 3 systems: PS4, PS3, and Xbox360.   Something tells me it won't happen though, because they can make it look best on pc demos, and M$ has that deal with them.  Sigh...one can assume though that there won't be a huge difference between pc and ps4.

As others mentioned here, the playthroughs have been, indeed on pc with an xbox controller.

I played the Demo myself at Gamescom and we had to use, the xbox controller unfortunately -_- (Playstation/PC Player here)

Plus, I highly doubt they will show a gameplay with Playstation control, since EA has a deal with M$.

I see, I assumed but was not sure that the previous demos were running on a PC with an Xbox controller. I hope that they do release something though. With the developer love for the PS4 I guess it is ok to assume that that version would run well and be close to the PC version but I'd rather not assume.

Bioware is primarily a PC developer and yes the architecture of the PC and PS4 are similar but in light of the notable instability with some of their PS3 games I'm a bit worried.

It was just weird that in none of the impressions that I've read no one mentions it being played on any other platform (other than the fact that the game would come out on them of course when it releases). I mean even with the PS deal with Destiny there was also footage of the game running on an Xbox 1.

PS3 ports were bad because the Cell architecture was ridiculously difficult to develop for. PS4 is running on what is essentially PC architecture, which is why we've been seeing solid PS4 versions of multiplatform games from the get go, and hopefully it will allow BioWare to create an excellent PS4 (and XBO) version with minimal extra work.

The difference between Destiny and Dragon Age is that Dragon Age is actually releasing on PC. More often than not, if a game is available on PC, it will be demonstrated on that platform because it allows the game to shine brightest.

Yeah hopefully we also get screenshots of the 360 and PS3 in action.

I doubt that will happen until the game is out and in the wild. I can't imagine showing last gen versions is in their best interests. I would assume that they want to show the game in the best possible light.

As I said because of the developer love and similarity of the PS4 to PC it would be ok to assume the case, however I would rather be sure. And also if we are assuming that the PS4 version is running as well or close to the PC version (as has been the case with other multiplatform games thus far.) It would not hurt them to release some footage from said platform.

I understand wanting to show of the best version of your product its perfectly logically though I'll add this. As with Destiny or any other mutliplatform game for that matter, this close to launch there are generally impressions, screenshots or maybe a video (official or otherwise) of the title running on another platform.

I accept now that it probably for the most part was running on a PC, but seeing the controller buttons I thought it was on an Xbox1.

This is correct. All gameplay we've seen so far was on PC with a controller. If they release gameplay footage from Playstation or XBox, it will always start and end with their respective logos.

Gameplay with an Xbox controller isn't really PC gameplay, so much as it is console gameplay on the PC.

I do not think that is the case unless that is something that bioware specifically does in their games. But trailers released from the developer tend to be platform neutral in terms of advertising. (Unless of course there is some exclusivity with respect to marketing)

Only if Sony or MS release the videos themselves do you ever see the respective logos.

Up until now we have only seen the PC and Xbox One builds. The latter wasn't shown until SDCC a few months ago, and the demo was confirmed to be running on an Xbox One.

Other than that, I wouldn't expect to see what you're asking for until we get closer to launch.

I see, well here's hoping that its sooner rather than later. Might seem a bit paranoid but I'd prefer to see a stable build for myself. May hold off on buying until some impressions come in.
