That image was released in the run up to ME3, but the armor in the image never made it into either the original release or subsequent DLCs that added new armor sets.
On that note were there any other armor designs that showed up in pre-release marketing that didn't make the game?

Agree on the plate armor. It looks a little silly. The other two however... well, they look just fine to me. And on her.

Ashley's armor is pretty much the heavy Phoenix armor, though it's medium when we first encounter her on Eden Prime, likely because her level is lower and heavy armor has yet to be unlocked for her, same as Soldier Shepard. The armor in the OP is similar to the light Onyx armor that FemShep and Liara can wear in ME1, though the bits on the shoulder are specific to ME3's design.

This is my favorite armor for her, so it's the only one I use. I do like the black one, but the only time I ever have Liara wear it is during the Citadel DLC and nowhere else.
As for the helmet, I wish it had one too, though Liara's choice of "helmet" was pretty much ruined since ME2 in LotSB, which is weird, because ME2's prologue had her wearing a full helmet just fine.
Eh, I prefer Liara's plate armour over the others.
This is pretty much the same design as Shepard's N7 armor in ME2, which is probably my favorite version of the N7 armor, though I prefer the Serrice Council chestplate (Aegis vest in ME2).
@Han that's the one. The only problem I find with it is that sometimes her head looks to big for her body but it's a beautiful head so I wont complain.

It was kind of hard to make it out, but it looked like he was wearing heavier armor than he does in the game. That might have been an improvement.
It is interesting to see how things change during development though. Thane's voice in that E3 footage was a higher pitch than what shipped with the game. He sounds a bit more like Kolyat in that E3 clip.

Hopefully that's something that doesn't carry over into the next Mass Effect game. All companion characters should have at least one set of armor that includes a helmet.
There are mods created by players that add helmets for Liara in ME3. I'm not sure if there are any for Javik though.

Hard to say. I know the armor for Liara and edi I like. Or at least it looks better for me. Liara's white armor was hard on the eye's and edi had really nothing.

I have EDI run around in that as well. It cuts down the sexbot-ness a little, at least more than the other outfits.

Likely a causality of them rushing the Extended Cut DLC out to quell the masses.
Maybe a trilogy remaster on 8th gen consoles would have the casualty
