Anyone up for another Inquisitor Thread? After many ideas I think I finally have my ideal Inquisitor in mind.

 

My Inquisitor: Male dwarf two handed warrior. I'm picking dwarf over qunari because I think the dwarves +25% magic resistance will be more useful than the qunari's +50 health.

 

Personal: My dwarf will have a tough and aggressive attitude but have purely good and noble intentions. He will be siding with the mages over the templars because he has no fear of magic and locking people up in a tower seems like injustice to him.

 

Companions: His A team will be Blackwall tank, Dorian support mage, and Sera archer. Cassandra is certainly pro templar and Iron Bull doesn't strike me as being noble so Blackwall is a no brainer for my tank. Viviene is clearly selfish while Solas strikes me as neutral. I believe Dorian is the most altruistic of the mages and will get along with my Inquisitor best. Sera gets the nod at archer because her 25% ranged resistance makes her the most useful for taking out enemy bowman at range which will be her main focus.

Background: found to be magically inclined at 7 nayl was sent to the ostwick circle to be trained. At first afraid of the circles templars he was soon apprenrices to his cousin who was also the first enchanter. He was quickly found to be a prodigy completing his harrowing at 16 and gaining his rank of enchanter by 20 for his dissertations on the fade and spirit possession. During his time he had a light affair with a templar named kara who was a kindered spirit, and also joined the isolationist fraternity much to his master's disapproval. When the templar war broke out he sought to hide to avoid his lover so he wouldnt have to fight only to see her cut down by a mage turned abmonination. Fueled by rage he killed the monster and joined his master to escape. Hear of a peace conference he decided to go to be apart of negotiations

Personality: sardonic, witty, caring but due to his youth and accomplishments he is slightly arrogant and not afraid to back his bark. Never much cared for family aside from his cousin and master, but sees the inquistion as his new family one that will look out for him and vice versa

Politics: islationist by nature and believes magi cant live with mundanes. Sees the templar and mage war as bunch of fools who dont know when to quit. Sees all life as special and shouldnt be wasted without cause

Companions:
Cass is his lover ,guardian and his heart. She shows him that mages and mundanes can co-exist if they work together.
Cullen is his sparring partner and friend.
Doran is his rival due to different veiw points bit good friends.
Cole is his surrogate younger brother seeing him as a student to teach.
Iron bull is his drinking buddy.
Sera is his surrogate sister both of whom love dirty almost disgusting jokes.
Viv is his respectful mentor.
Blackwall is his friend.
Solas is his mentor on rift magic.
Varric is his moral compass
Leliana is his spymaster and friend.
Josiphine is like a older sister who teases with lewd innuendo

My Inquisitor is going to be, like, this elf and she's going to be a she and stuff.

Galen Adaar, Qunari mage.  Grew up near Cumberland.  Named after a guard who let his mother go after she threatened a lecherous minor noble with a knife.

 

Moderately pro-mage, thinks the Circle system is necessary, but also thinks that any abuse of power by the Templars is unconscionable.  Will likely side with Mages for fear that the Templars as they are now would simply kill or make Tranquil any mage they came across.  Supports the right of the elves to rebel and seek better treatment, but thinks that the timing could not be worse.  Does not know if he'll support Celene or Gaspard, as one cannot be trusted to keep her word, while the other is a warmonger who'll try to reconquer Fereldan, leading to an amazing loss of life.

I see his personality as a mix of three different people, Eddard Stark, John Snow and Maximus Decimus Meridius (Russel Crow in Gladiator). Ultimately he try to do the right thing and solve things with diplomacy if possible. As for appearance, im going to aim for something close to my profile picture. Typical party will likely be Blackwall as tank, Vivienne and Varic/Sera

A human male mage who wants nothing to do with the Mage-Templar War and never wanted to become the Inquisitor.  Way over his head.  No idea what specialization I'll choose, I'll probably only know in game.  I'll probably end up romancing Josephine and rocking around Thedas with Blackwall, Varric, and Dorian/Solas.
