In DA:O we could, then for whatever reason it dissapeared in DA2 and if I wanted to use a bow or a different staff I had to paue the game and switch manually. Wold weapon swap come back in Inquisition?

It seems that not all classes can use a bow and that weapon types are locked by class, so I'm afraid that it's probably unlikely.

I certainly hope so.

Warrior - sword/shield or Greatsword
Rogue - dual daggers or bow
I think that there is enough reason to implement a weapon swap option.

Mages - staves with different damage types.
Plus, if we have something like Arcane Warrior class, fast way of switching between staff and sword would be appreciated.

Fair enough. I rushed through reading the questions and thought it was just about pulling the weapon/bow switch that was available in DAO. I'd also like the option to swap weapons on the fly, whether between one-handed/two-handed weapons, or between differently enchanted weapons of the same type.
As far as I know, however, we haven't seen anything to suggest that there is such a mechanic in place.

It could easily break the 8 ability limit, so I doubt we'll get one.I think that there is enough reason to implement a weapon swap option.

Well if you planned around dual speccing it would be easy enough, link an ability set to each weapon, when you swap you swap everything. Although if they were doing that I imagine we'd have heard about it by now.

It's ironic that they had weapon swaps in Origins where it wasn't really needed, then took the feature out in DA2 where it was. If they have weapons with elemental damage and enemies with immunities in Inquisition then this really needs to make a comeback.

I was really missing weapon swapping in DA2. Even in Origins just 2 weapon sets were not enough for me after Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale. I really hope the option makes a comeback, especially since we can craft so many weapons now
