No, I don't expect I will play the multiplayer. I have some suspicions that the combat isn't going to end up being my favourite part of the game, and the only reason I can see to play this kind of multiplayer would be if it was.

If the multiplayer had been such that I was able to play through the full campaign with somebody else, a la Baldur's Gate or Neverwinter Nights, I would've done that.

If it's as surprisingly good as Mass Effect 3's Multiplayer then yes, I will play Dragon Age Inquisition Multiplayer too!

Never. Happy that it's in for those who want it, but I'm not a fan of most multiplayer additions and won't touch it.

partly I'm not into gaming with people I do not know
Second being the elitist think they're superior to everyone and you make a slight mistake they keep carrying on about it
Consent cursing,yelling , my personal favorite is the constant trolls.
Among other things it just kills it for me and ruins the game and fun.
I may give it a try with my husband or other family and friends but at this point in time I'm highly doubting it.

 

You should head over to the casual group, it where people who just wanna have fun playing mp and not take it seriously hang out.

Never played the ME3 multiplayer, won't play this one's either, probably. Unless my son talks me into it. Isn't likely though, since I'd only play it if it were co-op on the campaign, which it's not. 

 

I've got nothing against multiplayer being available, as long as they put plenty of work into the single player game, which it seems they have from what I've witnessed so far.

Yeah, I see it as a fun escape from the single player campaign.  At least to spice up the game. I playe ME3 MP, it was fun

I dont plan to play Multiplayer at all.
 
The first Time they officially announced it, I was kind of shocked. Anyone who has played Mass Effect 3, knows that you must play the Multiplayer Part to have all Choices available for the Endgame, as you have to gather some additional Warfare Points.
 
I decided not to Pre-Order DA:I, until we have a 3rd Party Word, that we will have all Single Player Decisions available to us, without the need to play the Multiplayer Part. I know Bioware has already said, the MP Part is completely optional. But thinking about the Stuff they screwed up in the Past as EA has rushed them, to make some quick Money and as Bioware is now owned for a longtime by EA...
 
On November 18, we will know more. So I am sure I still can Pre-Order until November 19 here in Europe.

Possibly, I've seen a thing floating around about a 'casual multiplayer' group, who just want to have fun with it regardless of ability. Depending on how I find the combat, I may give that a go. I don't know anyone personally to play with, and playing with strangers can be about as fun as chewing my own arm off.

I will absolutely be playing DAMP. I even have five friends who plan on getting the game and hopping on as well. Two of which I played a ton of ME3MP with. As a matter of fact, I actually ended up playing more MP than SP in ME3. 

 

I'm going to wait a week before diving into MP though. Gonna pick up PS+ on black Friday/cyber Monday

I think the MP will be a lot of fun; I really enjoyed the ME3 MP when playing with people I knew and I think this will build on it but in a style I'll enjoy more. The fact that there's more equipment and customization is nice since it adds more depth. 

Sometimes it's just nice to play with other people, and there's no heavy commitment needed for it. Play for one dungeon run through or a few...It'll be awesome taking down a tough encounter with the help of three other people.

That seems unfair...just because you and a group of others do not like MP or will not play MP doesn't mean there's not a population out there who enjoy it. Wanting it to go as badly as possible essentially means those people who do want to play it will have a horrible experience.

No, no. I said I want to go as bad as possible in terms of success. I don't mind if the MP is good, bad or mediocre. Also, I don't want people who like MP to have a horrible experience. What I hope for is the MP not reaching market expectations and this fact restraining Bioware from adding it in the future for DA.

I'm just pointing this out because I'm ambivalent about MP. I enjoy lots of fully single-player games and would not mind if DA:I was one of those. But I also do not mind that the MP is there.

Well, obviously the discrepancy point here is thinking MP will influence SP development. I think that the opportunitty cost of adding MP always influences SP.

None of your poll choices apply for me, I can't know where I'll spend more hours on beforehand. That depends on how fun the multiplayer is, not buying the game because of it though.

Oh, I'm surprised to see this old thread pop up again.

The upshot of the poll is that a good number of folk are sticking to SP only, but most will try it and some are destined to 'own it'...

If ME3 is anything to go by I'll sunk hundreds of hours on both, though I probably won't try MP until I'm done with SP.
