I'll eventually check it out to see whats up, but I doubt I'll put much time into it. Single player (assuming it's all that I hope) is going to be keeping me pretty busy as is, so I doubt I'd have much time to put towards it anyway.

I am buyjng the game for single player, just like I did for me3 but I'll hang around well after my multiple single player games to play multiplayer. If I enjoy mp as much as i do for mass effect eventually i'll have more hours in that i would imagine.

While I prefer SP in a game like Dragon Age, I will definitely try MP but I don't expect to be good at it. If I enjoy it and end up playing it a lot, my skills will improve and I'll likely want to play even more. So we'll see...
That is exactly what happened to me with mass effect mp. Tried it but did not expect to be any good at it and was not good for the 1st while but really improved as time went on. I was vey surpised at how fun it was on the whole. I do like the coop style of mp and am glad there is no pvp kind of thing.

Right now I'm planning to play both. I'll focus more on SP when it first comes out but I plan to play MP on those days where I want to do something different. I've just started playing MP in ME3 (and have been enjoying it immensely). I play MP a couple of times a week and SP the rest of the time. And like someone said above, I have no life.

More SP focused, but will certainly be giving the MP game a try.
My first crack will probably be a day or two before the first of the weekend ops. Hopefully they they give us a week after release to get some basic gameplay mechanics down first.

This poll is useless, I hope it really is only for fun.
The people in this forum are here due to DRAGON AGE and their anxious to play it. There was no MP before.
So people here are interested in SP mostly, it is blatantly obvious.
However, whatever this polls shows, maybe DAMP ends up getting more player into the game than the SP, who knows.

I'm apparently in the majority: I will play MP but will play singleplayer more. Now, that could change a couple of years from now. I could eventually finish all my singleplayer playthroughs and feel like playing some DAI combat instead of making a new character, like I do with ME3 now.

I play games for story and characters, not combat, treasure, etc...There is zero appeal for me in DAMP.

Sure, it's for fun.
I'm having fun, are you? ![]()
But I would not assume what one person thinks is blatantly obvious is actually the universal truth.
For example, you would have thought from the romance arguments recently that BioWare had messed up with romance options.
But when you ask people other than than few dozen posting repeatedly on the forum, 90% are pleased or very happy with them.
That's not to minimise or disrespect the concerns that the 10% have, but it puts the concern into context.
For multiplayer, I know some were worried that BioWare were abandoning the single player game.
This fun poll suggests that the forum audience still views DAI as first and foremost a single player game,
yet more than 70% will be trying multiplayer, either a little or a lot.

Then I will be the 30% that don't even touch MP period. The majority of the people will still focus more on the SP as the poll already suggested.

I want to try it, but it depends on if I can find people who play it. I have no friends who like DA.
I don't have friends who play DA (or ME) either.
I played ME3 MP with random party members exclusively and found it a fascinating element.
I'll be playing with randoms again with DAMP
(And there's a forum group so I can randomly connect to those folk too...)

Eventually, though I can't guess if it'll be more than once or twice. Alas, no friends with XBox Ones. Whamp whaaamp.

No. I started playing the series originally for the single-player experience not for MP.

I am only here for the single player and therefore will only play the single player, not the multiplayer in Dragon Age Inquisition.
Role-playing games are a personal immersive entertainment experience for me.
Here are my reasons to play Dragon Age Inquisition.
1) Lore. I want to know what is the deal with Red Lyrium. I want to know more about the elves. I want to know more about the original Inquisition. I want to know more about darkspawn, blight as opposed to just being spoon-fed with the Chantry versions. I want to know more about the Qun from the perspective of a Ben-Hassarath that is not Tallis.
2) I am here for the story. I have always wanted to roleplay as a founder and leader of an organization in a game. I have always wanted to properly roleplay as a logical and intelligent leader. Hopefully this game will allow me to do this. I also want to get into the nitty gritty of the Game, of politics, of passing judgements, of organizing things, of gaining intel and of making diplomatic relations. I also want to be able to properly roleplay as a Chaotic Neutral Male Dalish Elf Magi, which is my DA:I canon character.
3) I am here for the exploration. I am here for the roaming of the vast environment, doing quests, scouring for alchemical ingredients to use, for codexes, for interesting vistas (Skyrim was amazing for this, you are greeted with some of the most gorgeous vistas. The nights with its auroras, the day standing atop a cliff gazing out, etc. Hopefully DA:I can pull this off). I also want to use those ingredients I gathered and go nuts with the alchemy system (Chemistry is a favorite subject of mine).
4) I am here for the followers and advisors. Say what you will about Dragon Age and Bioware, their followers, the interactions we can have with them, the banter and the voice acting is top notch.
5) Finally I am here for strategic combat. By strategic combat I mean pause and play tactical combat with friendly fire. I hate and despise the action play mode in Dragon Age 2 and in Origins I always use tactical combat, pause and play mode.
Multiplayer does not help with any one of these 5 goals that I have for this game. I like to have fun that is driven by goals and accomplishing said goals. Multiplayer is just fun for no reason, its shallow fun. So I will not be playing it
Cheers. ![]()

I'm taking the same approach with Dragon Age Inquisition's multiplayer as I did with ME3's; I'll definitely try it out. If I like it, great. If I don't, oh well. I did end up getting a lot of fun out of ME3's multiplayer.
