I will play it if only to support BioWare's decision to make it completely seperate from SP. If anything it looks to be a better dungeon crawler than Diablo III :).

Nah.  Diablo 3 actually scales based on the number of players in the group.  Including soloing.

Not really into MP. ME3 MP was kinda fun though so I'll probably try DA MP, but I doubt I'll be playing it all that much. SP is much more important to me. I'm just so glad MP isn't tied to the SP campaign like it was in ME3. Whoever thought that was a good idea was really dumb.  ^_^

There are 2 reasons I don't see myself playing much multiplayer:

1) I'm going to be playing on the xbone, and most of my friends that plan on playing have a different console

2) I have so many playthroughs of the single player that I want to do, and limited time on my hands, so playing multiplayer would just take away from the time I can spend doing all my awesome playthroughs.

I played a lot of ME3 MP and will be playing a lot of DAMP as well.

Still going to play a lot of the SP as well, though.

I will likely play multiplayer if I Can find a friend to play with; However I find that Dragon Age has always been about the story and the single player, so I doubt I would play Multiplayer all that much.

I'll try the multiplayer.  Hope there aren't too many trophies connected to it.  Also I hope it turns out to be good fun. :)

This makes me wonder if there will be any online trophies/achievements. I know some people aren't keen on them at all since if they play it years later there will either be fewer people playing or the servers will be down. So getting those trophies will either be more difficult or impossible which locks the player out of getting them all if they care about that sort of thing. If the trophies are all single-player then there's no possible future issue.

I don't agree with their decision to include a multiplayer mode but since they are doing it anyways, I'll play it a little to give a more solid opinion on it when I feel like rating the game overall.

From initial impressions so far, I'm not really impressed with DA:I's multiplayer.  It seems a bit too much like ME3's multiplayer in my opinion which shows to me that Bioware really isn't all that creative in the multiplayer department of their games.

No. I might dip into it for a bit, there's always that chance. But I'm not a multiplayer person. Don't get along well with others unless we have a strong understanding and invest in planning. But I played the ME3 MP once and was done.

So, no.

I will play DAMP if they revamp the chest system. I keep getting useless craps I don't need for ME.

Interesting. I thought multiplayer would be supported a little more than it is currently. Any idea on the number of voters so far?

You can apparently break stuff down in DAMP to craft other stuff. I don't know exactly how this works but may help your issue a little.

Ask again after the game is out, I guarantee a lot of these 'Absolutely not's will change. That's what I said about ME3MP, and I'm still having fun with it 200 hours in.

I said it before ME3, tried it, didn't like it.  So I won't even waste my time on this one no matter how much my friend's hound me about it.

There will be no regular achievements that need MP.

Multiplayer will have its own challenge system where you score points, unlock achievements, and have limited-time events. Just like ME MP.

Why not break down the stuff you don't like and use it to scavenge the stuff you like?

Not everyone will change their mind, sure, but a lot of people will.

Will play the multiplayer a little, but only when I finish the first run of the real Dragon Age experience....

I'll play co-op probably as much as the single-player campaign - possibly more. I ultimately spent a whole lot of time in ME3 MP after I finished the single-player campaign in ME3.

I don't generally do multiple runs through a single-player campaign in a game now unless there's something substantially different about the outcome or if the LIs are particularly compelling. I do like Blackwall, and the other guys are interesting enough...plus, I always did sort of like Cullen (just not quite at the level of totally fangirling over him :P ).

Oh yes!!! Button mash to take out a horde of enemies in one room, gather loot, move to another room. Rinse and repeat. Sounds 'effin amazing, as well as original and innovative.

Thank god the base game looks absolutely magnificent; that along with the fact that Bioware seems quite honest when they say this MP is in no way tied into the main game, makes this bitter pill a bit easier to swallow. 4-player, destroy-hordes-of-enemies "co-op" doesn't feel, to me, like something that has organically grown out of Dragon Age. It feels like blatant fan service. But then again, who the hell am I to tell Bioware they can't have fan service in their game?

After some 650 votes - not as 'hot' an issue as the romance poll which got 2,000+  :D

This is how it's breaking down in a summary chart:

mpchart.jpg

And here's the detail:

charttext.jpg

So there we have it, that's enough votes to be a pretty good idea of what the BioWare forum thinks, pre-launch.

Fairly split views on it, the 'no' stance is the largest individual response.

Overall 65% are going to at least try it out.

Around 19% plan to play as much if not more in multiplayer.

We might ask the question again a couple of months after launch...

Thanks very much for voting and commenting.  :)
