With MP now included in both the ME and DA franchises, I suspect they will now be a standard feature

as much as voiced protagonists are now standard.

Dunno 'bout voiced protagonist. You know, If Bioware still have to be content with scatterings of ME fans and FF kids, only around 2 mill, while silent protagonist games like Bethesda's and Obsidan's collect like 15 million per game, even Bioware will have to modernize their act one day. B)  We can't forever be stuck in the late 1920'ies and things like 'The Jazz Singer'. Movies is not a way to move forward, neither is sound movies.  :alien:

SP only.  I do not play with others.  May let my son-in-law try it though in a few years when I'm done. He likes on line games.

Eventually, yes.

But I'm going to see what SP has to offer first.

I will not touch MP, I play RPG not group and shoot.

I play some mmo's but very rarely group. It's not my thing.

WoW destroyed grouping for me.

I'll probably play a few runs after getting some experience in single player so I don't embarrass myself(much). I enjoyed the ME3 multiplayer when I thought I wouldn't so I hope that will hold true this time.

Why not? Who knows maybe it will end up being tons of fun :) I loved ME3MP and had a good time there so I don't think DAI will be an exception. The format differences might influence it in an interesting way too.

Yes I will be trying out the MP after SP but curiosity will get the better of me and will probably check it out during SP lol.

A pity MP is not cross-platform. I simply have nobody to play with  :?

I played DAMP at EGX (Eurogamer) and really enjoyed it. It is very challenging, but that added to the enjoyment for me as it encouraged the team as a whole to form strategies and actually prepare for fights beforehand, of course you had one of the DAI devs on hand to "coach" you as best as possible but still.

I'll be playing this, ME3 MP really grew on me and became very addictive despite the nagging grinding aspect of it for war assets. However I don't know who with, as the regular group of friends I play online PVP/MP with aren't really in to RPGs in general so I doubt DAI having a good MP mode will sell the game to them.

Or maybe they go after a real VO game like Diablo or Starcraft. Because obviously the success of those games turns exclusively on VO. Or GTA. Another game that sells endless units with voiced PCs, and whose sales went up when they added VO.

Because VO is the be all end all, and there is nothing else that could possibly explain this difference except for VO.

ME3 MP was alright so I probably play a bit of DA:I MP. Completely depeds on how fun it actually is of course, I could play it just as much, if not more, as SP or I might not play it at all.

I'll defer to the Arishok on this one and his favorite mono-syllabic word.

I'm only here for the singleplayer. The multiplayer inclusion has made me worried about purchasing it, though.

I probably will play some multiplayer matches, but I will play the single player more.

I might try a bit of multiplayer after I've completed the 8 or so playthroughs I do for each romanceable companion, just to test it out, but other then that it holds very very little interest for me. Bioware games have always been about the lush, immersive single-player experience for me (and may that never change).

Yeah, probably skipping the boring single-player alltogether so I can get straight into MP. Might provide a few hours of entertainment before going back to borderlands.

Nope, unless they have a co-op story mode ala Neverwinter Nights.  Since that's probably not going to happen, I'm not going to touch the MP.  However, I don't mind paying for the game with MP as a part of it.  I've paid $70 for regular editions of games without MP, so the cost means nothing to me.  For $70 this time, I got some pre-order goodies as well as the base game.  MP may not be for me, but I hope those that enjoy it have fun.  :D

I know that the SP and MP teams have different budgets, so I'm not worried about my SP game being hurt by that.  Also, I'm not worried about MP affecting my SP experience.  Yes, I know what they pulled with ME3, but they did patch it out.  I do trust BioWare not to make that mistake twice.

I will undoubtedly end up playing more MP than SP. It's like combining my two favorite types of gaming into one! RPG, with some co-op fun on the side.

Can't beat it.

Not really gona bother with multiplayer

Can't stand people, If i want to play a game online I will just go play a MMO
SP for me only, aslong has MP doesnt effect SP then I dont mind the game having that option (even though I will never touch it)

I'm really just here for the SP, though I will give MP a chance. Who knows maybe the MP will be more interesting than the SP, like in ME3 case.

Most likely after I finish SP, although it depends on what else I have to play. I aim to at least try it a few times.

I'll likely give it a go after I've completed two or so singleplayer runthroughs, but whether I do anything more than take a look will depend on if anyone else I know gets it (kinda doubtful, pretty much the only gamer out of all of my friends) as I don't like depending on or being depended on by other people, especially strangers. But I'll probably give a squizz to the DAMP subforum to see if there's any Aus groups looking for players when the time comes.
