I have a question about the codex, is it all new information? I saw the screenshot that has volus in it and was wonder if they just copy pasted the old information.

New stuff plus old stuff that is exactly the same as ME2. They probably didn't see the point in rewriting the same info.

How much new stuff comapred to the old stuff?

I actually liked him. He's a very nice person. He's not a dick like Miranda in the beginning. (You can soften her up though). He's definitely better than Kaiden. He died on my playthrough, made me really sad. :(

Bummer. And just to let everyone know that's not a spoiler because anyone can die on your mission if you do not do it correctly.

Yeah. It's not just about doing the loyalty missions and upgrading the gear, you have to choose carefully who does what job in the final mission. I made a mistake with him, and it cost him his life unfortunately. :(

Any more questions? I'll try to answer a few more before going to bed. I don't know if Toasty will still be on after that, but its getting late here for me. :P

Gonna be up all night. Gonna beat this game. I do not know as much about the ending and stuff as you tho so ask now everyone.

When are you getting it? 26th or 29th? If 26th its only 3 more days :D about to be two in 36 minutes. ;)
If 29th, then you don't have that long when you think about it. Just find something to kill time with. School, work, movies. :D

A good amount. I really do not know much about it but there are some repeats but definitely some new stuff.

its go the same structure. You get species and locations and such. Didn't really pay attention to it, but thats how it was in ME1. I guess they added species like Drell, Vorcha, Collectors, etc.. I can't play the game again until the 26th when i get my copy because my friend has kicked me out so he could play lol. So i can't really say much about it. I should have looked more into it though.

I'm doing calculus homework while keeping an eye on this thread, and I'd just like to announce to the world that vectors suck. Maybe If I think about the problem in terms of flying the Normandy.. :P

Jacob is what I would call quite the boss. He's a likeable if not predictable character. If Mass Effect was less of a 'Sheppard-centric' game where he truly makes all the decisions, he'd get alot more of a chance to shine by providing input on the decisions you make. (The drawback of having your main character actually being a character versus a tabula rasa, which I would never change in ME by the way. Sheppard's actual involvement in the world really adds to what makes ME unique.)

Mass Effect 3 is truly something to salivate over. Seeing the improvements they made with the leap to 2, the leap to 3 should see massive improvement across the board.

After ME3 though, what will become of the Mass Effect universe? I impart my own opinion now. Bioware, take the opportunity to branch out with the series and make a variety of types of games for it. Keep moving the story forward. Do this to the fullest extent, then subject ME to the MMO treatment. Mass Effect has a universe truly suited to it, but it is not something to do now, with our current technology.

Visually, technologically, and... spiritually, the only means of taking what makes Mass Effect into Mass Effect in the MMO setting waits for us in the next (warning, dramatic description ahead) 'epoch' of gaming technology.

Thats my piece.

I've heard the devs say in interviews that ME3 will definitely NOT be the end of the Mass Effect universe. They will make more, and different games. An MMO is entirely possible given Biowares current work on The Oldg Republic.

I have a question for those who played it on pc. The consensus is that ME2 is a lot better in the graphics/performance department than ME1 was. So what kind of specs do you need to run it at max settings(at a res like 1280x720, without AA)? I'm hoping that since they made it run so well on the 360, I could hopefully run it at high settings, but I only have a hd4850 gfx card(have an i7-920 and 6 gigs of ram though so I wont be cpu/ram limited) and I dont know if that would be enough to get the best quality out of this game.

MDizzle, that is indeed the case though I advise you to censor your post. Some would not wish to know.

The last fight is indeed rather easy.

I wish I could find a way to enable AA on my rig. It's top of the line, but built from the parts up (not by moi, obviously. :P) Catalyst has not been useful or helpful in that regard.

I was aware the universe would not go to waste. I do hope TOR does well enough to atleast pay off the hard work. Such an experiment would do well in contributing to the future of our friend the anonymous Mass Effect MMO.

Though I say it again Bioware, PLEASE WAIT. Do NOT do it until we have the technology for it.

Bioware. Come on. Give us challenging battles to finish our games. They give us many great story conclusions, but the gameplay in Bioware finales are always far easier than they should be, sometimes easier than most of the other late game battles.

How do the casual outfits work? Is there much customization here or only a few options?

If I recall, there are 4 options. You can probably buy more though, much like armor upgrades etc.

Can you   delete the Cerberus logo from  them ?

Two of the Casual Outfits have Cerberus Iconography and cannot be changed. The other is a scientist's wear, and the last looks like Omega casual wear.

I dunno... I saw the ending area on Normal with a guy who had almost everyone not make it (he was rushing through the game) and it looked suitably difficult. Heck, it took half an hour, and again, he was rushing through with less characters doing things.

So many deaths :( *cry*

I WILL NOT ALLOW THIS in my playthrough! We will all make this trip! That includes you DLC! And maybe you two - asari girl who I read could take Samara's place, and that Kitsumi lady that we know nothing about! CHARGE!
