Staceyschain: That's Revy "two hands" the most badazz, ruthless anime chick ever devised. If you haven't watched Black Lagoon it is a must see. Some of the story arcs are not for the faint of heart though, (I'm thinking of the twins for those who know this anime.)

1. Edward Elric before the end of Brotherhood (or manga). His brother would be a good choice, too. Suit or post suit Colonel Mustang would be another viable choice! Fullmetal Alchemist.
2. Kratos from Tales of Symphonia (there's an anime!) This was a cop out I really just love Kratos lol
3. Sesshomaru, even though I'll end up getting lynched. Because Inuyasha was a guilty pleasure when I was in high school...

I suppose one of these days I'll have to force myself to finish watching Hellsing, (started a few times only to be sidetracked.) That guy looks pretty evil I must say...I kind of need to like the people I'm working with.

in that case, i think we need to start going by series, choose 3 characters from a single series to fit mage, warrior, rogue rolls.... of course that would limit us to specific series though....

Hmmm.... this is a hard one. Or rather, two choices are easy, but I'm having trouble with the third. I'm going for one of each class to keep it a little interesting, which leaves me with...
Rogue: Ryougi Shiki (Kara no Kyoukai) - Nothing like a guaranteed 1 shot kill. On anything. Including abstract concepts.
Mage: Takamachi Nanoha (MGLN) - The White Devil. 'Nuff said.
Warrior is the tough one. Kenshiro is always a tempting choice. I suppose I could pick a mecha pilot, as most of the good ones are unquestionably warriors, but brining a giant robot along seems cheating. Broskander (ZeroRider) is awesome. The first or third JoJo's would work (Joseph is blatantly a rogue). Half the cast of Sengoku BASARA maybe? Masane from Witchblade (who is a far more interesting and well developed character than the fanservice would suggest...)? Darn...this ain't an easy choice....ah hell, I've gone with:
Warrior: Ran (Tsukikage-ran) - Skill, beauty and a taste for good booze. What more could you want from a companion?

She is actually quite skilled in martial arts. The only time she loses in hand to hand combat is against Suzaku and he was godmodded at that point.
You can't accurately say who is better than who when they are in different worlds that operate on different laws. To use the Naruto world for example, maybe her jutsu would give her the power to do what she can when in the Guren.
