I'd like for both of them to show up in stories with a related quest but not to the point, they're companions. I'd definitely want them to reunite with Morrigan/Leliana/Alistair on-camera, though, plus Hawke's love interests but that would the end of their "in-story role." What I'd really like to see, though, would be for them to become agents of the Inquisition thereafter.

It'd be a nice way of establishing the Inquisition's badass cred while also answering, "What is my Hawke, Warden, and so on doing during X crisis?"

Answer: He's working for the Inquisition.

It would be a good "out" for them and if the Agent system works anything like Assassin's Creed's then presumably they will have very high stats for missions.

:-)

I don't want them to factor in majorly: This is the Inqusitor's story, not the Warden's or Hawke's. I just want to go out, see the dude, have some banter and go.

Maybe they stay at Skyhold for a minute and talk with an old companion/LI, but that's it. Focus on the companions and advisors focused on this game.

Possibly (minor) agents of the Inquistion? Sent out to help secure resources, allies or regions.

My warden started utilizing hand-sign language instead of real words. He has lost his voice due to many hours of yelling commands at his subjects/minions fellow grey wardens.

plus Hawke's love interests

Wouldn't that be an issue considering some love interest are either missing (merril , Sebastian , fenris , Isabella) or dead(Anders) ? or you mean just being mentioned ?

They already said if they will bring them back they won't be simple for cameo and it will be important role.

Besides i don't rly want them in for multiple reasons now we know hawke will be in game but i hope at least warden will be spared.

I only care to know what they've been upto since the end of DAO/DA2, their interactions with returning characters like Varric/Leliana etc, and the status of their LI. Beyond that, I'm not too picky what role they play though I hope it is valuable one.

The Warden and the Champion as the Inquisitor's subordinates? Nope. They're doing their own investigation. The Warden's and the Champion's path converge and they team up a la World's Finest. Their investigation eventually leads them to the Inquisitor just in time to help him in the final boss battle as bonus companions. Once they save the world (the Inquisitor gets the killing blow) they each go their separate ways.

Not me. The Inquisition is the Justice League and the Inquisitor is Superman.

I would like them to have quests related to them, rather then just an split second cameo, and I get the feeling they will be companions, but not more then an fight or two.

I will accept no less then something like this when they show up to help the Inquisitor:

Finding Hawke will be key to solving the mage-templar conflict, count on it. Perhaps it will even be a companion quest for Cassandra.

Only it's not the Justice League, and you're not Superman.

I'm just glad that we will definitely see Hawke again and probably the Warden too

A scene with those two and the Inquisitor would be pretty badass

there are definitely different possibilities we will surely be able to recreate them hell  maybe even control them for a bit?

that would be awesome

I don't need the Warden showing up or a cameo. My headcanon is that she's still Warden-Commander of the Grey Wardens and either directs from the Keep or Amaranthine depending on which you chose to save (while rebuilding the other).

I never really understood the whole 'dissapearing' thing, like why would she dissapear and how can Bioware come up with a good enough answer to please most of us? Why drop all her responsibilities for the Wardens just for the Inquisition? I'd rather have it remaining a mystery if she had to dissapear.

Hawke is no problem for me as her story was pretty straight forward. Cameo or big role, I don't mind.

No, it's an organization of heroes of which the Inquisitor is the head.

Nah man. Superman is the Warden. Superman is always the first. Even in RL. The Inquistor is Wonder Woman. Or Green Lantern if you're a misogynistic piece of ****.

Not at all. It's organization that has a few heroes, but it's primarily just full of everyday joes. This isn't something you show to kids on Saturday with a bowl of Lucky Charms.

Yes, the average everyday joes who fight demons.

You're making a lot of assumptions on what the Inquisition vs the Inquisitor will be doing. I doubt they'll be fighting demons more than we are seal rifts.

And vice versa.

I'm seeing basically the Inquisition as Specters.

The guys who do the impossible.

The Inquisition is too large for that to be true.

Depends on how many Inquisitors there are.

You're the Inquisitor, after all.

Cullen may just work for it.

Sort of like being a Jedi Knight and Bob the guy who works at the Temple.

"Whatever we were before. We are now the Inquisition." Sounds like he joins to me.

There's also the agents that move about Thedas. Sure there's tons of elites, but there's also tons of not so elites.

I don't want them to be agents.  Allies, sure, but out doing their own things that may benefit the Inquisition, not officially part of the organization.  Any appearances they make should relate to something that would be important to them.  Hawke looking into rumors of Corypheus or the Warden (Commander) looking into something related to the Architect, for example.

Also acceptable would have them related to appropriate companion quests.  Part of Varric's story might be finding Hawke, or Blackwall needing to find the Warden.

I would love it if the Warden and Hawke were recruited into the inquisition and made field commanders. We need to send a team to take care of business?

Send the Warden here. Have Hawke move to this fortress and reinforce it before moving to this area.

Then seeing them in Skyhold talking to Leliana, Varric, Cullen, Morrigan or with their respective LI? That would e great to me.

An speaking to them and asking them about the adventures that made ten famous would give Bioware a chance to either clean up some plot holes or poke fun at themselves for a few things with the answers.

I think it would be great to have them around but not directly controllable after they've been recruited.
