Recently I Completed Mass Effect one all the way to the ending dialogue. When I started Mass effect 2 it was running fine I tried to import my Mass effect character and would not work so I went to the Mass effect 2 Config and uploaded the save game from there. Now the Game, Mass Effect 2, will not open or run it will do its sync with the cloud then nothing happens. What do I do to fix this? Has there been an update or anything to fix this? Please help!

Yep, same happend to me. Only thing that worked was complete reinstalling of ME2 (keep setings when uninstalling, so you don't have to go to the configuration again!).

I re downloaded the game and I tried to make a new game with my imported character and it would not would. I am afraid to go back into the Config and import the character and the game not working like last time!

I only have ME2 on Steam so I have no idea about Origin.

If you think it is Origin related, try disabling "Origin In Game" and see if that makes a difference.

 

As far as importing the saves, what that does is imports the "import save" and puts them in a directory in the ME2 saves folder, which is usually somewhere in Documents on a Windows system.

I tried saving the import file into the Mass effect 2 save files and still did not work nor did disabling Origin in Game help either

Never mind I found out a way without using the Mass Effect 2 config, this link http://www.masseffec....com/import.php here with show you how to take it step my step underneath the update section on the bottom of the link. Once you do this and try running Mass Effect 2 it will give you the option between using cloud or local files, use the local files and you will be able to import your character.
