I'm afraid of making a bad decision and purchasing the PS3 version while I could upgrade to a PS4 in a few months. I really want to enjoy Dragon Age Inquisition but I'm afraid it might run terribly on last gen consoles. If the programming team could reassure me it runs smoothly on both last gens, I will consider getting the PS3 version then. Be respectful about the other members' fears.

This thread's only rule:

BE NICE TO ONE ANOTHER. That is all.

For the rest, you know how BSN's guidelines work.

I'm afraid I'm going to spend too much time playing... and thinking about playing.  I should learn to embrace the inevitable instead of fearing it.

The consensus seems to be that on last gen it just means less crisp graphics, a lower draw distance and fewer background npc's ( I cant remember where this was actually discussed)

As long as it's just the graphics, I'm fine with that.

I fear that there won't be any nice, curly hairstyles for my Inquisitors. Or any nice hairstyles in general.

I'm afraid of time-management impacting the game in a way that makes me feel like I need to rush through it instead of taking my sweet time.

I'm also afraid of spending hours upon hours in the character creator trying to decide which race-gender-class combo I should go with first.

I'm afraid, since I play mages only, I will not have enough options to build different kinds of mages and get bored.

Well, my only legitimate 'fear' at this point is that I am scheduled for surgery in October, and don't know if I will have recovered enough to fully enjoy the game on release.

I'm a little worried how it will run on my pc honestly my cpu is about 5 years old and is really starting to show it's age, and getting a new motherboard and cpu isn't really possible for me right now. Not really worried about my graphic's card cause I just upgraded it a few months ago which is why I can't do the cpu and motherboard yet felt the graphic's card was what I needed to upgrade first.

I'm afraid that BioWare will have made no significant improvement on the paraphrases, once again making my character a stranger to me.

I don't expect that, but I worry about it.

My computer not being able to run the game properly (that's actually not just a fear, but the reality I live in :( )

ME3-style disconnects during MP, or singleplayer for that matter. Damn you, Origin!

Losing interest in the game. Open world games are generally not good at keeping me invested in the story. I'm worried that Bioware's shift to more open world (though not as extensively as Elder Scrolls for example) will have the same effect.

I also one irrational fear of getting so attached to my Inquisitor only to have it die in all the endings.

My PC not running it well (i.e., people glitching out in cutscenes or lagging like bastards) even on lower graphics, or said lower graphics looking so much like ass that I have to shift it to higher graphics (and worse performance) to even look at the game.

The characters being spread too thin over such a long game, from a story perspective.  Quests full of time wasting rigmarole to pad the running time rather than an actually engaging story full of twists.  Had no evidence of the last two, but I like to be worried, because they could happen.

I'm a little worried the game might be too open world and Skyrimy, featuring a lot of wandering around, rather than focusing on a strong central plot.

I am afraid that the game isnt as open and expansive as Bioware claims. I also fear that the game isnt long as it is said to be.

I fear that in the effort to please everyone the game's substance would be drastically reduced from what it could've been.

Probably it isn't, because play times vary massively.  I'd actually be fine with it being 50 hours for everything like in DAO as long as they are 50 well done action packed awesomely written hours.  We've kinda got opposite fears - I'm worried it'll be TOO long, and full of padding.

I fear I'll start the game only to realize in 10 minutes that it's exactly like DA2 combat wise and with enemies attacking you for no reason everywhere you go.

Edit: Oh and Auto dialogue too. Replay value goes down for me when all the main characters in an RPG act and think the same.

So pretty much every game Bioware made after DAO.
