Buggy release
Bad character creator
Lack of dialogue choice
Lack of romance content
Generic fetch side quests
Bad endings
All this.
my other fears are already confirmed, no blood magic, no modding..

All my fears have been realized throughout the span of 2011-2012. The horrors I'd faced; nothing now can impact me in such a way again... Uncomfortably numb.

Don't want to sound like a stick in the mud, as my last post wasn't totally positive, but my only fear is another delay.
I know the Dragon Age team wants to deliver their best work and I applaud them for it. I'm seriously amazed and anxious for this next installment of DA. Here's to hoping November 18th is set in stone.

That, at the very last second, they'll announce that the game is only available in the United States (excluding Florida and New York).

Lack of unique base spell trees for the mage; it seems like 3/4 are elemental trees at this point.
BioWare forgoing unique schools of magic they created for the DA universe (creation, spirit, arcane, entropy) to focus on a bunch of cookie-cutter elemental magics, and splashing the former into said elemental trees, is really disappointing.

This is probably closest to my fear as well. Skyrim Syndrome. To this day I have never completed the main quest line in Skyrim because I get so distracted doing side stuff. That's less of a concern here--I'm sure the narrative will run more strongly through the entire campaign than it does in Skyrim other than "oh right, dragons"--but I'm still a little concerned that some impetus will be lost in the transition to more open world style of gameplay. At the very least, it might impact my desire to replay as many times as I'd like to.
IMO I think one of the ways to do a perfect game would be to do the 'open world' of Skyrim and the attention to story and character from DA. However, since it has never been done before to the best of my knowledge and is thus experimental I am worried they won't be able to pull it off. Skyrim was a good game, but it did not have a lot of the things I really have come to enjoy about gaming (and BioWare games) and of course trying to make a 'hybrid' could end up watering down...things.

Really completing the main quest of Skyrim did not matter. It was not a story based RPG like DAI (or other DAs for that matter) It was just an open world exploration game. The game treated you the same if you completed it or not. I don't know how many different characters I rolled in that game...(A lot, as I enjoy the early levels the most) I only completed the main story line 3 times.
Conversely, when I played a DA or ME title for that matter...completing the main quest is really the whole point of the game. The story drives you to that. There sure looks like DAI has a lot more to do than previous DA titles, but it still has that compelling story thing going on.

1. System specs...runing on low is not an option for me
2. some keep related error
3. open world...im actually was big anti-fan of skyrim and that game mode.
4. Story and endings...if this fails again then I pull christian bale
"you're a nice guys bioware..."
yeah, all of the points above.

I will not fear or worry.
Spending my time imagining what might be of concern to me is a waste of my life. ![]()
“I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
Only I will remain.”

I'm worried about an ME3 style ending where our Inquisitor dies no matter what. And dear maker, please have an end-boss more challenging than The Maurader That Tried To Save You.
Praise Andraste for no 360 head spin bugs mid-romance scene, or weird eye rolling where everyone looks like they just took a gulp of Darkspawn Blood from the chalice of the Grey Wardens.
Bugs :x I hope they broke the game so much in bug clean up phase that it will be nearly flawless on release ![]()
(also, the weird slidding away mid cutscenes, or body parts expanding strangely (alistair's head lulz) while idle, Shepard's weird slow slides and flips mid cutscenes on Omega)
**ps Bioware, hire me for bug testing, I'm real good at breaking things in game.

I fear that the game will be poorly optimized for PC, though not nearly as bad as I expect TW3 will be.
Other than that, I fear the choices will be too black and white; either you reinforce the old Chantry system as is, or destroy it entirely. No real ability to attain a compromise, or liberalize the existing system. If DAII was any indication, nuanced solutions don't really get a chance in this setting.

The Combat will be bad, The world will be too large to fully explore, and the stupid Dragons will be too hard to kill.

Now that GTAV comes out on the same day...I fear the game will get delayed again. I'm pretty sure despite GTAV being a year old people are still going to buy this release on PC/PS4/360 and it's going to sell millions. Could easily make EA/Bioware nervous about the release getting overlooked and delayed again.

I fear that there won't be enough humor. I laughed a lot in DA2 and ME3: Citadel. But now that Thedas is in so much crap, I fear there won't be a lot of laughs =( and I LOOOVE bioware's humor. It makes my day!!

I'd bring Varric along for the trip, surely he'll add some funny lines here and there. I'll make my inquisitor clever (which is a combo of sarcastic and charming, apparently.) I think Iron Bull and Sera will add to the funny lines of the game as well.

- Blackwall being the "thane" of dragon age by getting killed, no matter what you do. (or any LI really)
If you mean die in battle or killed by the big bad then yeah I can see where that fear may come from. But if your expecting to find a cure for the taint, then you'll be solely disappointed.

- Lots of Microtransactions and cut content
- Romance being too much focused that affects the story for worse
- ME3-esque endings
- Combat being too similar to DA2 (I prefer DA:O and NWN2 combat)
- Characters and Companions have forgettable characteristics
- Cheesy Dialogues
