This is about the weapon, not the enemy.
Does its instakill effect work against all enemies, including dragons and boss types like the Five?
The same question for the vorpal weapon of a Planetar.

It doesn't,the bosses wouldn't be much of a challenge if it did because one GWW with the Ravager has about a 2 out of 3 chance of vorpal proc.
The toughest creatures which vorpal weapons can instakill are Hive Mothers and Fallen Solars, I don't think SOA dragons are immune to vorpal hits either but it's a moot point for the Ravager halberd because you can't forge it yet.
