Wow... all of that food looks better than the spaghetti I just ate. Except for the blood that vampire is drinking... I'll pass on that one, thanks.

I grew up with a lot of Filipino foods, so I'll throw a few of those in there:

Sinigang is a very tart tamarind based soup, typically prepared with pork, leafy green vegetables that will absorb the flavor of the broth, and basically whatever the heck else you want to throw in there. Most Filipinos just use powdered soup packets to prepare it instead of making the tamarind-based broth from scratch ingredients; you might be able to find a soup packet in an Asian food market if they carry Filipino stuff.

Philippine adobo is perhaps the most popular dish in the Philippines; you take a meat like chicken or pork and marinate it with garlic, bay leaves, soy sauce, brown sugar and vinegar. Then you simmer the meat in the sauce and serve over rice.
And before anyone asks, no, I've never tried balut. I might do so in the future if and when it becomes financially feasible for me to make the trip overseas.

Peanut butter and pickle sandwiches.
That sounds weird and your talking to someone who eats "haggis".

But are you not Scottish? I'd have thought most every Scottish person has tried haggis.
For me, it doesn't sound weird, it sounds gross.

I have had a hard time reconciling that with myself TBO. I grew up on a farm and well...you get a pretty raw look at this issues there. I was a vegetarian for many years. But I looked deep into my faith, many discussions within my coven, etc and came to terms with it. I don't eat much meat TBO but when I do I only eat really good things. yea its a tough one.

My learning disability might be acting up here, but do you mean "you eat it" as in you eat haggis now and then?

Basically I was saying that even though I eat Haggis (which many people think is horrible) the idea of peanut butter and pickle sandwich sounded icky.
