Carver/Merrill (Carrill?) is probably my biggest non-PC ship.  Hell, it's probably bigger than most of my PC/LI ships.

 

And yeah, I almost like watching the companions hook up more than I like watching the PC flirt awkwardly with the prospective LIs.

I'm not a fan of companion hook ups for a few reasons, but the main one is that one of my DA2 playthroughs must have glitched because Isabela and Fenris were having their suggestive talk and I was in a romance with him already. I had just come from telling Anders we could be friends only and was on my way to Fenris' house when this occurred. Got so angry I deleted that run and started one where I then planned to romance Anders and give Isabela to the Arishok if she even bothered coming back.

 

Having said that, I wasn't a fan of the Garrus and Tali hook up either. If Bioware decides the companion has to be with someone, I think I'd rather it be with some random NPC and not a party member.

My zev romance glitched on the import so when Isabella and Zev walk off together in DA2 I was feeling pretty annoyed - I would have handed her over in a second playthrough had I done one.

 

As for Garrus and Tali....Garrus was my romance in my first play through. When I found out they hooked up if neither is romanced I made sure Tali took a big jump off a certain cliff in my second >_> Of course on my second time through Shep was a jerk and most people died if possible.

Plot twist: The reason neither Morrigan nor Leliana are romanceable in DAI is because they are secretly lovers, and have been maintaining a relationship since Origins!!!

 

Now I just feel offended that my Warden was never invited....

I hope this is only on playthroughs with an imported keep save where the warden didn't romance her. It will ****** off a lot of people otherwise.

 

I have to admit... I'd be irked to say the least.

It was annoying enough to have the Warden jettisoned into space and then having the expansion (Exalted March) that was probably going to resolve things canned.

I'm gonna take a shot in the dark and assume it could possibly be Iron Bull/Dorian, Sera/Josephine and/or Cullen/Cassandra. Maybe Varric/Harding is a possibility?

 

Personally, I would like to see Blackwall/Vivienne (especially if Blackwall's VA ends up being Stephen Dillane - Stannis Baratheon/Ellaria Sand ftw!) and, as Eveangaline suggested, Solas/Dagna. :3

 

(I also kind of want Varric/Cassandra because reasons but that will probably never happen.)

 

No doubt I'll be completely surprised by the hookups though.

I have no idea.. but I find the thought a little odd. I didn't find it quite amusing in ME when Garrus and Tali had a fling when you were in a relationship with someone else other than one of them.

I'm more of a; ALL MINE!! kind of person. XD

When i found out that Fenris and Isabela had a thing going on, my first thought was "okay.. never having the 2 of you in the same group ever again." 

 

I don't really care if any of the DAI companions get together at some point in the game... so long as they keep their grubby little chimp-like hands away from Josephine everything will be A-ok~

I like the idea of companions hooking up, either outside the group (like Aveline and Donnic) or within the group. I thought Fenris/Isabela was a nice touch, and the flirting between Nathaniel/Velanna. It's just too bad we couldn't help our siblings further their interests in Sebastian and Merrill. I don't think Carver would even have gotten round to pulling his foot out of his mouth without help!

 

For Inquisition, I quite like the idea of Cassandra/Blackwall and Josephine/Sera. Iron Bull/Dorian didn't occur to me before, but it could indeed be interesting.

Part of me wants to see Varric/Cassandra after DA2

but seeing as Varric isn't a romance I expect Bioware has something planned for him & Bianca.

I love the idea of them getting very drunk and hooking up, then immediately regretting it the next morning. I bet it would result in awkward party banter where they both try and brush it off or accuse each other of initiating it.

I can't express how much I love companion relationships. Tali and Garrus are too cute, and I even liked Isabela/Fenris. Don't even ask why, I have no idea. Haven't had Carver in my playthroughs yet, but I'm actually already sure I'll hate his flirting with Merrill because she's way too precious for him.

I still love having these relationships in games because it makes the characters a lot more interesting, and it feels like they really have feelings and whatnot.

 

To be honest, I'd love to hear some Leliana/Josephine history, or more, if Leliana hasn't been romanced by the warden. Not a fan of Cass and Cullen, because I don't like him. It'd be great to hear of Bianca or Varric's past with her as well.
