I was trying to host a gold/cerberus/giant game as my juggernaut and got impatient in the waiting room, so I started on my own assuming someone would pop in. No one did, but I ended up extracting without a lot of trouble. It was my first gold solo.

Build was without turret, hex shield for damage, full durability fitness, 3 siege pulses for DR and damage. Had a level one shield gear on (forgot the name, 10% shields), adrenaline mod III, disruptor ammo III, strength enhancer I. It was rather fun.

I soloed Platinum accidentally once because the host quit on Wave 11 and no one migrated except me. Free accidental solos are the best.

Congrats!  That's about how my first one was.  Wave 8 and 9 I'm thinking surely someone will join and help me out.  Wave 10 I'm thinking holy cow!  I'm going to do this!

I had a perfect one on Gold before Platinum was even a difficulty. I left it open to public and had a guy join just as I was disabling the last device on ten. I couldn't help but laugh because what else are you going to do then.

Had an accidental solo once when I was trying out my TSent + Adas vs geth. I was genuinely surprised at how good that rifle is vs geth. I mean obviously it was designed for the job, wasn't it, but still. Fun game.

Fortunatly no one joined your game at wave 10 or 11. That would have been annoying.

GPS II. Barrel V, and omniblade II.

I'm solo'ing bronze for the sake of testing out weapons and classes - It's not very profitable, but the practice and map-learning is welcome before I step it up a notch. Only X level weapons I have are starter/basic weapons, and Shotgun Rail is the only equip I have above level III, so it's a good way to fluff up some achievements and see how I feel about weapon/class/build A, B or C without taxing myself too hard.

 

Primary reason is because I can't play MP with others at work

Think I'll just head on up to Silver with my Katana X HumSol seeing as I'm not far off the 3rd Headshot & Katana achieves (or whatever you call them in ME3MP terms).

 

I've learned a lot during my time here - But my account hasn't the gear (and I don't have the discipline) to solo Gold/Platinum - Not by a long shot.

I didn't need fully upgraded gear for gold, just the right gear on the right kit. Not every juggernaut build or load out will work, contrary to popular belief, but this was good. The hex shield is multipurpose, blocking fire from one direction while frying and stunning crowds. Siege pulse is mostly for DR when you're by yourself, since firing them is riskier, but the GPS is amazing and helps with closing distance. The adrenaline mod makes a juggernaut almost quick, which was essential. The omniblade and strength enhancer help a lot since almost constant melee is necessary. Durable kits, especially ones that can replenish barriers actively, are easiest to solo with. But I surprised myself anyway

I never said you (or anyone) did/does I simply said I only have X level basic weapons and am using the solo'ing as a means for testing, along with classes and (if I do enough solo's) maybe strategies for higher difficulties.

 

Been using the Katana, partially for challenge but mostly just because I'm nearing certain achievements or whatever they're called - May as well use it as an excuse to test how 'I' feel about weapons. A lot of people put stock in what is regarded as 'strong' (whether it is a class, weapon, build etc) but I do a lot based on personal preference. If I ever get to a level where I feel comfortable trying some gold/platinum solo's, it's going to be using a class/kit I am comfortable with or feel optimal playing with, not something someone else says is 'good at doing it'

 

Anyways, congrats! I'll be over here, preparing for my first Silver solo once I get the 5/5 Bronzes done.

PS I forgot to say congrats!   The Juggernat isn't always so easy to solo with as you might think. As I've found out the hard way more than once.

PPS speaking of annoying: I suddenly remeber this one game I'd been soloing unintentionlly until the very last twenty seconds. I was in the LZ and a drell joined the game and without even looking to see what the game was, what enemy, what wave etc (first thing I always do upon joining a game in progress) the guy immediately takes off to start killing stuff.

 

I was the Lone Survivor.

You are very accuratly describing my first and only gold solo that happened exactly the same way only mine was on White and I only had stronghold gear, lvl 1 disruptors on venom and scorpion. I just wanted to test out which of them is better for CC overall, figured pugs will join but no one came despite me dragging it for as long as I possibly could, even took a #2 while the Juggs played with a last nemesis
