If Anora married the Noble Warden or Alistair, she gave birth to three daughters. Call an was the one who was infertile.

- If Hawke agrees to allows Aveline to use their Mabari to help train the Kirkwall Guard, the men and women of the guard quickly come to adore their new canine instructor. Hawke's mabari eventually becomes their unofficial mascot and is affectionately nicknamed "The Bark Knight".

+ Teagan carried a torch for Isolde for a long time but never let it progress further. Isolde, however, thought of Teagan as a very close friend and confidant. Ironically, she never thought of him that way but was often jealous of other women around him.

+ Fergus Cousland eventually remarries after four or five years to mourn his wife and child. A non-attached Anora makes overtures his way but he is deeply off-put by her attitude and makes it very clear he's uninterested.

If still alive, his new wife is Ser Cauthrien despite her being somewhat older than a "proper" heir-bearing wife should be. They manage to have a young son and daughter, however. One of which is named after the Cousland Warden.

+ Mhairi is Ser Cauthrien's younger sister. Her death strikes Ser Cauthrien hard and she holds some resentment to the Wardens for such.

+ Loghain actually likes King Alistair for his son-in-law as he comes to resemble Maric at various points in his life, either hardened or otherwise. This would disgust Alistair, though.

+ Loghain's distaste for Leliana is actually as much due to her resemblance to Katriel as due to her Orlesian qualities. The Warden's defensiveness of her if she's in a relationship with them also makes Loghain thinks something horrible will happen.

The fact nothing doesn't really confuses him as does the general happy ending if the Dark Ritual happens as this has never happened to him before.

+ If the Warden threw away a close friendship with Alistair for his life, Loghain respect them more (doubly so a romance) as he too threw away something precious for the greater good of the realm.

+ Loghain's Gwaren wife and he barely spoke more than a dozen sentences to each other during their marriage.

+ Gwaren is the Fereldan equivalent of Wales. They're remarkably open-minded about their rulers and don't really care if they're a peasant, elf (being descended in part from elven/human mixings), or dwarven.

+ Highever is the Fereldan version of Scotland.

+ Morrigan is explicitly Flemeth's daughter from when she was a younger woman. This bothers her to no end as she likes to think she was stolen. In fact, Flemeth can only possess her biological descendants.

So these are mine:

+ Blood mage Hawke becomes Tranquil instead of Viscount of Kirkwall if they side with templars. Later on Rhys help them to regain their mind.

+Sebastian takes over Starkhaven.

+Fenris if not romanced takes Sebastian offer and becomes general in Starkhaven's army.

+ Isabela gets her boat and returns being with pirate, this time with Merrill who wanted to leave Kirkwall and Eluvian behind her.

+ Cullen, Aveline and Viscount Hawke restore Kirkwall together.

+ Anders becomes idol for some radical mages in the Thedas who follow his example by attacking Chantries and templars instead of running and hiding.

I know there are others I'm not thinking of right now, but here's one that immediately sprang to mind when I read the topic:

* The reason Sten in DAO didn't have horns or the same facial features/skin tone as the Qunari we see in DA2 is because of a ritual he undertook in shame of losing his squad to the darkspawn/losing his sword.  When recovered from his wounds and realizing his shame, Sten performed a self mutilation ritual to remove his horns. This was a Demand of the Qun to show outward sign of his failure and remorse. Removing the horns also causes physiological changes to the Qunari via hormone imbalances (glands residing at the base of the horn root are damaged), so his facial structure altered by the time the Warden encounters him in Lothering.  Assuming Sten is recruited and the Warden helps retrieve his sword, Stem allows the horns to grow back during the journey back to his homelands.  If the Warden/Hawke/Inquisior ran into Sten at the time of DAI, he would have the appearance of a "normal Qunari" (aka how they look in DA2)

This was my way of reconciling the new Qunari look to Sten's appearance in DAO.  I have no idea if the Dev Team has ever addressed this directly or not -- I've been away from DA news, tweets, etc. for a long time until very recently.

Thought of new ones
During the battle with the archdemon warden amell suffered a crippling blow to his arm. Due to his jealing skills and knowledge of taint magic it healed, pyshically but the arm developed a odd "pattern not unlike dalish tattos

Before the warden amell left with morrigan he put nathaniel in charge of the fereldan wardens.

Hawke dated athenril during his year of servatude.

The Devs have said that they always wanted the Qunari to have horns, but had trouble implimenting it with the helmets in Origins. The official explanation when DA2 came out is that most Qunari have horns and only a few like Sten are born without them, which has lead to the belief this marks them as "special" in some way. In Inquisition, we'll be able to make our Qunari Inquisitor have horns or be hornless if we wish.

And speaking of the Qunari, here's some of my headcanon's regarding them in DA2.

- As Hawke's reputation grew in Kirkwall, the Arishok came to believe that Hawke would make an excellent Qunari if only they submitted to the Qun. While rooting out potential thieves was one concern, part of the main reason that the Arishok allowed the theft of the "Gaatlok" (actually Saar-qamek) was to provide an adequate test for Hawke and see if they were capable of solving the problem, thus proving them to be worthy of such praise.

- If Hawke became Basalit'an and aided Tallis in MotA, it was her that Hawke though they saw in the market a year later according to their diary. The Ben-Hassrath have been keeping an eye on Hawke because they still believe that they would be a valuable asset if they could be turned.

- Several of the prostitutes in the Blooming Rose are spies for various groups, such as the Orlesian Bards and the Qunari. This is because most of the powerful people in Kirkwall from the Templars and the nobility visit the brothel and as Hawke quips "You never how much you can learn from pillow-talk".

These three will probably be rendered non-canon by Inquisition but are true in my head until they are.

Mage vs. Templar War

+ Roughly a tenth of all Templars chose to side with the Mages due to the break with the Chantry and the willingness of the mages to talk peace. Many had secret relationships with mages, close friendships, or a belief in protecting mages even from themselves. Almost a third of all Templars chose to stay loyal to the Chantry.

+ Nearly the entirety of the Loyalist faction of the Chantry attempted to surrender to the Templars or flat-out offered to help them hunt down their fellow mages. These are viewed as the most treasonous and hated mages in all of the Circles.

+ The Templars have found almost no support from the main nations of Thedas who have no interest in lending them military aid which is bound to get killed fighting mages. This has rendered the conflict to be solely Mages vs. Templars and drastically increased the length of the war.

+ The devastation from the Mage-Templar War is beyond anything either side expected as whole armies and areas have been devastated. It's just short of the Fereldan Blight in terms of casualties at this point.

+ The Lucrosian faction possessed a vast-vast war chest and enough money to hire vast numbers of Tal-Vashoth and Vashoth armies to supplement the mages' forces. This has resulted in the Templars, again, being caught flat-footed.

+ A major base of the mages is in Orzammar as the Mages have offered their assistance to the dwarves there in exchange for sanctuary. The dwarves have continued smuggling lyrium to the Templars regardless, however.

+ The biggest source of coin in the Templars pockets and volunteers come from the Anderfels as their religious piety has resulted in them flocking to the cause. The Grey Wardens, however, remain neutral.

+ Atrocities are big on both sides due to lyrium shortages resulted in Templar-based massacres and the usual Blood Magic.

+ Tevinter has been covertly offering support for the Mage Revolution cause, less because they want the mages anywhere near them (and have refused them refuge in their nation) but because they enjoy hurting the chantry. Fiona has refused all such assistance due to her past as a slave.

This is controversial to say the least amongst mages.

+ Factions in the Templar Order include those who favor exterminating all mages rather than a return to the Circle system. A similar faction exists in the Mages, only for enslaving normal humans.

+ Fereldan is a Mage-Friendly Nation as well as Orzammar. This is true even if the Templars purged their Circle as Alistair and Anora both hold the mages as a more valuable commodity. Also, Ser Gregoir values his loyalty to the Chantry over the call to put down the rebellion and hopes for a reconciliation.

Before the warden amell left with morrigan he put nathaniel in charge of the fereldan wardens.

I think I might have to adopt this one as well, I can picture my Warden leaving Nathaniel in charge as well, with a note reminding him to keep Sigrun busy, to tell Velanna how he feels about her already, to help Oghren write his letters to his wife and child (and try to keep him from drinking too much) and to remember to bloomin' smile once in a while!

- After working together during their year in servitude, Hawke entered into a friends-with-benefits relationship with Lady Elegant. They broke it off amicably however when a minor noble in the city who had also been pursuing Elegant proposed marriage and Hawke convinced her to accept, as s/he didn't have such prospects (at the time) to give her the life the noble could. Despite loving her new husband deeply, Elegant always would think fondly of Hawke as "the one that got away".

Ostwick circle background involving nayl trevelyn

Ostick's circle was a mixture of tevinter and antiva where "free love" was almost a class aswell as the more esoteric schools of magic. Mage and templar were practically family(in the inquisitor case cousin and master was first enchanter and sister was templar). Nayl gained his rank at 20 and was a quite enchanter and had a templar lover kara. The circle was considered to be the 3rd best circle despite it overly liberal veiws and occasionally allowing hedge magi to train within the circle instead of tranquilizing. The circle was close to aeonor as reminder that while you are free more than most circles prison is right next door.

The ostwick circle only had one fraternity, the isolationists. They only cared about their circle, when the circles rebelled they were the only circle that kept out of the war til the peace conference

hey we allow all kinds of fraternization(consenting) and i had to give it a bad part else its too happy. And our policy on outsiders is
FE: alright fereldan mage/templar we do things quite differently while its true magic must serve man but never rule over him, see it as do what you can for your circle. Now begins your initiation to our "family"

The rest is up to you what happens lol(think antivan crows views on love hehehe)

I don't have a ton of them (that I feel like typing right this second). But I have two very important ones  from my latest playthrough.

First, the Warden Commander teased Nathaniel endlessly about how all of her recruits seemed to have some form of crush on him.

Secondly, Hawke and Anders got married. And so did Bethany and Sebastian, eventually. They have the greatest Thedas Thanksgiving family dinners ever.

Something silly.

They have Disney's "Frozen" in Thedas as a folktale.

It ends with Elsa becoming a Grey Warden or getting taken off to the Circle.

Some Hawke sibling headcanons.

- If Carver joined the Wardens he ended up getting trained at Vigil's Keep. When the Amell Warden returns from Amaranthine and goes to greet their long-lost cousin, Carver accidentally ends up insulting them for being "another mage", before realising just who he's speaking to.

- If Carver joined the Wardens, Sigrun takes great delight in teasing him about his surliness and Oghren keeps giving him unsolicited advice on how to be "a lady's man". Carver quietly laments why it's his fate to be constantly tormented by dwarves?

- If Carver joined the Templars, he ends up in a minor love triangle. He becomes enamoured with Ruvena who dislikes him as she thinks he's too surly and impetuous, whilst completely unaware that Margitte doesn't think this is a problem at all.

- If Bethany joins the Wardens, she's sent to Vigil's Keep and forms a good friendship with the Amell Warden. She also develops a crush on Nathaniel.

- If Bethany joins the Circle, she ends up harbouring a crush on Knight-Captain Cullen. More than once she's been distracted during a prayer meeting in the Gallows by the fantasy of Sebastian and Cullen scuffling over her, leading to their shirts being ripped off. She often has to say extra prayers that night for having impure thoughts in a place of worship.

New idea of the HoF after WH

The warden went into the mirror to be with her and watch over their child. He often teased her about having a "circle wedding" to which she eventually she relented and agreed. Now married they prepared for flemeth's return creating new types of spells taken from flemeths grimore.

Next post will be the canon inq

Malcolm Hawke was elf-blooded on his father's side. Making Hawke not very elf-blooded at all, but a little.

If you don't play a mage Warden, Amell and Surana both escaped the Circle. If you didn't play a human noble, Cousland managed to escape Howe's massacre. Aeducan survives the Deep Roads miraculously using some skills he/she picked up, and eventually joins the Legion of the Dead. Brosca and Mahariel, however, die from starvation and the taint respectively, and Tabris is taken by the slavers, their fate unknown.

I've always thought Merrill actually had a bit of a thing for the Dalish Warden, which may not have been reciprocated. Which would explain why she's weirdly hostile towards her in the origin in contrast to her DA2 personality, but despite this seems to be by far the saddest to see her go and still seems broken up about it seven years later.

It's complicated I guess.

I thought this too, but I cant quite validate that headcanon. She just feels too bossy and holier-than-thou to the Warden, and not in a way that would make me think more of it.  :bandit:

Yeah, but seriously, they both looked way too sad here for the relationship we saw on-screen. :S

Spoiler

Or maybe their relationship was actually more sibling-like. Bickering, seemed to hate each other, but actually cared a lot about each other.

Also possible, s'pose.

+ Avernus was in love with Sophia Dryden and always wanted to express his feelings to her but couldn't. The reason he never left Warden's Keep as well as failed to destroy the Abomination was he sought some way to resurrect her with Blood Magic and later simply because he couldn't bring himself to destroy her. Sophia, herself, never knew and had a husband back from her pre-Warden days she intended to return to.

+ The Drydens were the former Teyrns of Gwaren.

+ Avernus is quite capable of delaying the Calling with his potions so that most Wardens can live normal lives. Delaying further requires the lives of innocents. This has the potential to radically change the Grey Wardens.

+ The Grey Warden, if they take Avernus' potion, is one of the ones who have taken the prototype and will likely live a long time. It, unfortunately, also guarantees Avernus will die as that was meant to last him a couple of more decades. Avernus isn't the type to cry over spilled blood, however, and was tired of his "immortality" anyway.

+ Uldred was jealous of the Amell/Surana Mage and fearful of losing his position as First Enchanter once they passed their Harrowing. He thus arranged for Jowan to be taught Blood Magic and hoped it would draw them in to be caught for aiding their friend. Uldred also took to studying Blood Magic as a means of staying ahead of them.

The Pride Demon played on Uldred early on and filled his head with visions of being the one to liberate all Mages because it showed visions of said mage either becoming a Grey Warden or something even greater.

- If romanced by a Male Warden who did the Dark Ritual, Morrigan also absent-mindedly plays with the Rosewood Ring from time to time.

- When trying to convince Oghren in Awakening to reconnect with Felsi and his child, a Male Aeducan or a Male Warden who did the Dark Ritual will admit to him that they've also got children they never see. While they didn't have a choice when it came to being absent in their kid's life, Oghren does and they urge him as a friend to take the chance while he still has it.

- When Mahariel's father was Keeper of the Sabrae clan, Marethari was his First. She was also the sister of Mahariel's mother and was the one who set them up originally. After they died, her duties as Keeper prevented her from formally adopting her niece/nephew, hence why Ashalle took over as Mahariel's guardian. This is also the reason she worked so hard to save their life after they became Tainted.

+ Irving and Gregoir had an affair in their youth which ended amicably but still informs their relationship. They bicker like an old married couple because that's what they'd be in another life.

+ Fiona actually "cured" her taint with Blood Magic. She was only able to keep it suppressed for a number of decades, though, and would have had to undergo her Calling until the Warden retook Warden's Keep. She's since reconstructed Avernus' research or worked with him to keep it at bay indefinitely.

+ Fiona actually first used Blood Magic to suppress her taint because she was pregnant with Alistair at the time. She later did it because she liked to check up on him every few years. Maric and she had several more romantic encounters over the years before his disappearance and Calian's ascension.

+ Fiona was also sent to the Circle on behalf of the Grey Wardens as an infiltrator. They were using her to smuggle out books of magic and possible candidates for recruitment. Due to her past, Fiona was deeply affected by the plight of the mages, however. It inspired her to become head of the Liberationist faction.

Even then, she wouldn't have gotten past First Enchanter of Starkhaven's Circle if not for the fact that the Grey Wardens and her status as an "ex" Warden made her famous.

She then parlayed this into the Grand Enchanter position. The Wardens were NOT pleased.

+ A Mage Warden and a Mage Hawke were both Generals of the Mage Army during the first part of the Revolt. Their combined expertise led to dramatic losses for the Templars and might have forced them to the bargaining table much sooner if not for their sudden disappearance a year later.

+ Starkhaven's Circle was destroyed as part of a Templar conspiracy to assassinate Fiona.
