I only liked the destroy ending. The others I don't care about.
More time for ME3 would've helped.

I'll never "forgive" how they wrapped up a series/characters I spent years adoring.. but that's different than still caring about it. My not caring anymore definitely still bleeds over into enthusiasm for Bioware products, tho.
I never had a problem ME3's endings but...
Whether or not people "forgive" the endings is irrelevant. Anyone emotionally invested enough to still be complaining about the endings will buy the next Mass Effect game.
That's some pretty bizarre logic you got there...

Hm, maybe they will because they are hoping for some kind of thing that will make things right in retrospective.
Erm... though granted, I have trouble following that logic too. I would imagine that someone who is that emotionally invested to "still" complain will, at least, think twice about getting it. Usually enough information will get out before the release for people to make a judgement call on spending the money or not. Or at least wait for reviews... Can't be that many sheep out there who buy stuff without thinking first. No matter what franchise it belongs to.
Be that as it may, but no matter if you liked it or not, you probably do get some information about something you plan on buying before you actually buy it, don't you?

Well at the time of ME3's launch every reviewer gave it 9/10's A's & 5 stars, it seemed an absolute no brainer and another homerun for Bioware after the success of the 1st two games.
Then non reviewer got their hands on it and we started to see the explosion happening pretty much day by day. That made me a bit nervous about it but I've been a Bioware fan since Baldur's Gate and loved all their games to date so I still had faith in them doing a spectacular bittersweet finish.
I had a playthrough of every class in ME1, 4 went through ME2
only 1 went through ME3 and since then that ending was so bad i haven't fired any ME games on my 360.
I used to be an automatic sales for BW, i preordered every game they made. And i was absolutely gonna pass on the next ME until I saw 1 piece of light at the end of the tunnel. M. Hudson isn't on the project anymore. Still won't preorder and gonna give it at the very least a month before considering buying it. I'll wait to see if they have redeemed themselves in my fellow gamers eyes.
So for me forgiveness might come from the next DA game, gotta wait and see.
But ME3's ending sure will not be forgotten

That's why I never preorder games and only get them after some time after launch. I almost broke that rule for ME3 but in the end decided not to. After the backlash about the original endings I was weary until they released the EC. Got the game afterwards and didn't regret that decision at all

That is exactly what I meant. You did not like something in a released product and thus, before you spend money again on a new product, you try to gather some information before that to see if it is still for you. That's just common sense in my opinion. No matter if you are a fan or not.

I wonder how many actually completed the game. It's not like Call of Duty where you could blow through the entire single player campaign in a single sitting.
I'm pretty sure that didn't happen.Do I forgive Mac and Casey for turning the trilogy into a celebration of ignorance and violence? Nope!
That's some pretty bizarre logic you got there...
Seems pretty obvious to me. When people spend tons of time complaining about something that's optional, it's because that thing means a lot to them. No one complains more about a sports team's performance than its most devoted fans. The annals of video game history are littered with fans wailing and promising to boycott sequels. Those fans, always buy the following games.
The sort of gamer who won't buy ME4 is the kind who bought ME3, thought it sucked, and then completely forgot about it a few months later. Everyone posting on these forums years before the next Mass Effect game is released will buy it.

Well stated. There is a chance I will buy the next game - in fact, there is a pretty decent chance.
But I'm not pre-ordering. I'm not trusting Game Informer or any other game reviewer. I will have to do my research on you-tube and see what real players think. I will have to endure spoilers, and lots of them. If the game is awesome, I will lose a lot of that awesomeness.
I have to do this in order to protect myself from something that I was invested in. Fan is short for fanatic - and I am not one anymore.
If they pull another dogfart like the ending of ME3 again, then I won't be on the forums, because I'm not going to waste time on Bioware. I want them to recapture the magic though, that's the only reason I still hang on.

I agree with this. Basically I started this thread to see if people Were looking forward to finding out what happens in the future.
From what I can tell they are.
As far as I can tell we will get an intresting game within the Mass Effect universe and I'm guessing that EA has had a quiet powwow with the creators. So there is no doupt in my mind that the endings will be adressed somehow. Cause why kill a cash cow in it's prime. ![]()
As for what there is to come time will tell.
Forget and forgive? I will never forget this shitty half assed ending. People will buy the new game anyway? lol think again dudes
I'm pretty sure that didn't happen.
Then I'm certain you need to think again.
Droney is like that - you'll just have to ignore him. Although abrasive and callous, he is trying to make a point.
We are discussing something here that is subjective; it is different to each and every one of us.
