Has enough time passed for people to forgive the endings?

Shepard can kill the rachni in ME1/3, betray Wrex and the Krogan in ME3 , shoot Mordin in the back (also ME3), kill the quarians and betray Tali in the rannoch arc, and finally can kill the Geth in either rannoch or after using the criucible. So it's not really a good argument.

Sorry Drone, I don't follow.

Ruthless background - you already are a war criminal, at least to the batarians.

ME1 ending - both choices result in thousands dead.

Arrival DLC - you destroy an entire system with civilians.

All these are required choices. Adding optional choices of destroying geth/quarians, sabotaging the Shroud, kill the Rachni...

Also, what is the war crime in Control ending?

The ending of Mass Effect 3 still takes a lot from any replays of Mass Effect 1-3 for me. That's one of the unfortunate things about a trilogy from my point of view. If a stand alone game has a bad ending it only flavors that game. If a trilogy has a bad ending it flavors all three games in that trilogy.

As for forgiving the ending. For quite some time I had no trouble pre-ordering a bioware role playing game and trusting that it would be good.

I even used that reasoning when I purchased TOR. "It's a bioware game and starwars it's going to be great." I don't use that reasoning anymore. After the ending of ME3 and some other issues though I no longer put such trust in them. I'll be researching the story lines of their future products especially Mass Effect before I consider making a purchase.

What is your obsession with mac walters, did he cut you off in traffic.

I agree with you here.  We have to not attack writers, each other, or BioWare Employees at all, or this thread will get shut down.

I like the discussion here - things are being looked at from many different sides.  Lets keep it civil.

Don't forget betraying Mordin and Wrex.

Some of Shepards actions can result in a lot of people dying way before the endings as mentioned by VezgenN7 especially those who play renegon/renegade.

Nope, still have not forgiven them. I was never really hostile though, just disappointed. I thought they could do better, and I expected better from them. I look forward to getting lost in another Bioware story, but I may not make a blind purchase again.

Maaaaaan, I'm loving this!  This argument is such a copy paste of every single one about the ending in the last 2,5 years.  :D Oh but wait, it's the same people who argue about it as 1 and 2 and 2,5 years ago.   Go on boys! You may yet reach that 5 year mark!  ;)  :P

Is there a statute of limitations on disappointment?  After a year, should I have changed my mind and start singing the game's praises?

Or maybe the fact that 2.5 years later, the fact that people are disappointed for the same reasons might indicate, that you know maybe these are valid reasons?
