Role playing in Thedas

Myself I would have to be a Tevinter Magister or a Circle Mage in Orlais. Tevinter because I would be at the top of the food chain and it is the only country which accepts magic. Orlais because of the quality of life. As a mage I would technically be outside of the Game but I could participate if I wished E. G. Vivienne is a mage who holds a position of authority in the Imperial Court.
In Tevinter I would have to deal with rivals and infighting, but the only major difference is that itis bbetween mages. Blood magic is a fact of life and being hated by the rest of the world. Still the power is a nice way of coping. As Fenris once said, " To be a Magister in Tevinter is to be glorious. To be a powerful magister? That is worth any price in the world. " Not a fan of slavery or the threat of becoming an abomination though.

There's actually a whole forum for online-type roleplaying in this universe. And they actually published a tabletop RPG in the traditional Dungeons and Dragons style ![]()

I'd be my Mage Warden.
Paragon of Justice.
Romancer of Orlesian Bards.
Yeah, I'd die when I was fifty-three or so but it'd be worth it.

Some sort of prince/son of a noble/monarch. Third or fourth in line for the throne so i have no major responsibility and can just enjoy the privileged life of a noble.

Arlathan Dreamer who is still alive and just finished his nap. Get to be like a grumpy disappointed grampa with super-powers who yells at everyone to get off his lawn.

I wonder who has it better. You or my lazy Dalish Hunter.

I like the thought of fighting alongside Sera, fighting for the common people. Sort of like a Robin Hood of Orlais?
Another would be a mage from Tevinter, but secretly sneaking slaves out of the Imperium.
I also would love being some sort of hunter who travels the lands of Thedas, taking down rare game, meeting all sorts of people and cultures, and seeing the sights.

I dunno... the Shaper is pretty much a noble-caste librarian. No heavy lifting except the occasional ancient tome, and definitely no running unless the Lord Shaper suddenly gets thirsty or something. A very lazy Dalish who does just enough to get by has it pretty good too though... just make sure that you fire an arrow into a slain animal once every couple hunts so that you can claim that you helped out. Personally, I'd have chosen Dalish Halla Herder since it seems like less work overall, but that's just me.

More pressure though, it's like being responsible for the clan's entire fleet of RVs. Who wants that?

Whoa, what was I thinking? Good call... Halla Herder comes dangerously close to doing actual work. But tbh, most Dalish have to work hard no matter what... that's why I didn't pick them.
Maybe Assistant Perimeter Guard? It's basically standing around all day... so long as you're not the only one responsible for keeping watch you can probably chat with a fellow guard or space out.

If I couldn't be her, I'd be that guy constantly kicking the wall in the Viscount's Keep.
