Hopefully a male quarian, a female turian and finally some batarian love.
What alien squadmates would you like to see in the new Mass Effect game?

I'd just like to actually choose anyone I'd want as a squadmate, not just limited options or having to kill them to change a bit.
As long as Bioware brings an element of novelty and original, I wouldn't mind what race, gender or class they are. I only need something new, two or three new races, exploration of both genders, relationship within a race and other possiblities.
You know, give the characters the variety of personality a being has and I'm okay with whatever she/he is. And, of course, give them different backgrounds as well. I'm done with some races being only one thing or the other. Be creative, for damn's sake.

I want that exact same geth-prime from Rannoch. For me, he almost seems like some complex descendant of Legion that could be the Geth's beacon of hope, so he has to join Shepard and his crew.
Aww yeah, would love to have synthetics as your squadmates for the rest of the game.

Not squadmate related, but when exploring, i'd like it if we could collect alien specimens (pets) from different planets instead of purchasing them. Have our own ship zoo.

Race:Shepard AI
Sex; female with female/male personality
Class; all
weapon: all
background: A malfunctioning Shepard AI who was somehow installed into a Alliance Infiltration Unit
Fixed grammar errors.
Really, that is a great idea - and I mean it, no sarcasm! ![]()

Something inhuman. Like some sort of Tyranid/Zerg/The Thing/Abolith/Illithid/Old One abomination. I guess it understands me. I mean I am pretty sure it understands what is going on and it follows commands. How does it use humanoid weapons? Well we fell uncomfortable being in the same room when it adds items to its equipment list. It just showed up and helped on a mission but then it disappeared before we got to the ship. After it showed up on a different planet and space station we think it is hiding somewhere in the ship. Enemies tried to take our ship. Some of their bodies went missing after the battle.

That's creepy!

A batarian would make for a great companion since it would help do away with the "all batearians are thug's slavers etc." and there are only two or three batarian in the entire series that have redeemable features.

In the Galactic Center book series at one point the main character befriends this giant two thousand pound multi legged larval creature who's people used to hunt humans for sport in the way a child would pull the legs off a fly or chop the head off a frog.
They were FAR more evolved and advanced than humans to the point that they saw us as nothing more than tiny screaming animals scurrying about.
One of the more open minded and rebellious ones ended up joining the humans in their quest to the center of the galaxy and was a total bro.
They could add someone like that to your party.

Using Vazgen's post as a layout, i think these would make for some interesting characters in the game, or as squadmates. I left Quarian in as i agree that they'd make for a good character ![]()
Race: Quarian
Sex: Male
Class: Scout
Weapons: Sniper Rifles, Pistols
Background: A member of one of quarian expeditions sent out to find a new homeworld after the Morning War
--------------- 2 ---------------
Race: Turian
Sex: Male
Class: Turian Agent
Weapons: Assault Rifle
Background: After having been framed by corrupt co-workers for many crimes he did not commit, he was left for dead out in the galaxy aboard a shuttle with little to no supplies. Holds a grudge and wants revenge on those that framed him, if they still live.
--------------- 3 ---------------
Race: Human
Sex: Female
Class: Assassin
Weapons: SMG's, Sniper Rifle
Background: Had mission to steal some high-level technology but was a setup, stole a ship and slaughtered its small crew, jetisoning their remains out the airlock.

Possible romance option?
Lets do the Hanar first, for the Japanese ![]()
It starts by finding spores, which, against the advice of your Salarian squadmember, you decide to grow on the 'Normandy'. The Salarian, getting more and more intruiged, lets it get used to your scent as it's caretaker while it's still a baby and handable on the 'Normandy'. (how? -->
)
Then you drop it on a planet.
It wil discover minerals and the likes for you and leaves new spores for you to find and seed on other planets. It kills pre-existing maws on the planet. If it is near you, it will help you out in battles.
Ok, not a real squadmate, but who the hell wouldn't want a Maw for pet??

A slow-witted/drunken Salarian fratboy/dudebro would be quite funny.
Perhaps either a Krogan theoretical physicist or a psychologist who only applies krogan psychology to other races - kinda like Thor's self help program in GTA:VC.
Volus con-man/paralegal sort of like a Volus Saul Goodman.

Squaddies:
Male Quarian - Biotic: I think it'd be interesting to see a quarian, a race known for their technical prowess, subvert expectations and be a pure biotic.
Female Turian - Infiltrator: More of a typical Turian, less buddy-buddy than Garrus. (still
you though Garrus)
Male Salarian - Soldier: A frontline fighter, tougher than your average Salarian. Think less Mordin, more Kirahhe.
Asari - Biotic: In her maiden stage. Somewhat reckless and fun-loving to differentiate her from the stoic Samara, and the reserved Liara.
Female Krogan - Soldier: Less aggressive than Wrex and Grunt, but nowhere near as diplomatic as Eve.
Non-Squaddies:
Male Batarian - Pilot: Anything but a pirate, racist or slaver. We really need a good guy Batarian.
Male Drell - Doctor: Seeing a Drell with a non-criminal related career would be very welcome.

I came up with an idea for a salarian solider mp character which I thought was interesting build concept for multiplayer or even a squad npc:Squaddies:

Salarian Special Forces soldier (elite military/non STG):
Adrenaline Rush
Energy Drain
Proximity Mine
If you take bonus power on AR and armor boost on ED then this would be an insanely good character. 75% more weapon damage, no cooldown on PM or ED so you can max weapon damage passives and ignore weapon weight and of course proximity mine which would be more spam-able than ever. It's a cross between the human. turian and quarian solider.
