I'd just really like a Batarian, Geth, and a Turian Biotic.
maybe a Drell Soldier

Aww whats wrong with Krogans? ![]()
i would like to see a character similar to HK-47 because he is one of my top Favorited characters of all times
What I DON'T want is more than 2 human companions. And that's already 1 too many. Humans are boring.
I'd like: female Turian, Asari, and a (male?) Krogan.
And some new races we haven't had as companions in the past.
Are female salarians any different from males?
Nah, no Female Salarians please. It says that they stay on the Homeworld guarding Eggs and so-forth. So, let's not go there.
If I was writing characters for this game I would definitely include;
1. Badass Female Turian
Personality: A bit cocky but plenty of sharp wit, although serious when she needs to be.
Weapons: Dual Pistols (I dunno here, something badass but not a sniper or she'll just be "girl garrus")
Speciality: Stealth and minor tech
2.Male Batarian Sniper
Personality: I'm thinking the Mass Effect version of sarcastic Hawke. Batarians aren't the most popular race and he certainly isn't going to gain many fans for his looks so I think it is crucial a Batarian squad mate be funny and likeable. (I mean seriously, get the guy who wrote Hawkes sarcastic lines to write this guy). Maybe have the humour as a bit of a coping mechanism for a (preferably non-cliché) past event to give him some depth.
Weapons: Sniper, Pistol
Specialty: Ammo types, Mines
For the rest of the team makeup something like
Male Human
Female Human
Asari
Male Krogan/Salarian/Drell (old race)
New Species Male (humanoid romancable)
Different New Species Female (something weird)
I think the addition of two new species will allow the game to feel fresh and give the old Mass Effect 1 feel of sharing a ship with strange aliens who you don't know much about. Hopefully the human characters are compelling and a bit more interesting than Kaiden, Ash and Jacob. The Asari would also preferably not be a Liara clone but a bit more interesting than (in my opinion) Samara.
Actually, I'd throw another New species in there to bring the number up to 9 which is a good number.
I want a female quarian and a Geth unit.
Depends on when it takes place. Before or after the Reaper War. But I'd like to finally have a hard ass Batarian squadmate (maybe ex pirate/slaver/mercenary). I'd like to see an exiled Quarian (preferably a male). Maybe a Salarian that's a former STG (more akin to Kirahhe than Mordin). And an Asari, with a personality we're not accustomed to seeing on the ship. (as in, nothing like Liara or Samara)
Female turian or GTFO
A Raloi squad mate would be cool, I was pretty certain we would see them in ME3, but not a single one was in the game... I know that they crapped their pants and ran home when the reapers showed up, but you would think at least ONE would have been on the citadel, but nooo ![]()
A Ymir mech squadmate might be cool. Carrying him in a small serving cart and when combat starts, hit the button and BOOM! Dinner's served.
Although in all seriousness, A new alien species being in the group would be a-o-great.

All species we already had while adding batarians and new alien races.
I'd also would want to have no more nor less than 2 human squad members.
I'd really like to see a male quarian, a female salarian, a female turian, and a female krogan squadmate.
To make the gender distribution more equal, we can throw in a male human and a male yahg (why not?).
Female turian
Female batarian

Geth

Why not a Liara clone? In fact how about Liara retuning as a squad mate. Remember Asari can live to 1000 years and Liara was only 106-109 during the games. So how about matriarch Liara.

Ugh. My non-gamer wife laughed earlier when she saw me futilely shooting Liara in the head as she rambled on and on and on. She has way too much dialogue. It actually is more of a monologue, since the other party member is generally not commenting. In Mass Effect 3, she never shuts up.
I like Liara well enough, but taking her from the writers, forcing them tell a story without using her as the mouthpiece, can only be a good thing.
I'll be alright if Liara makes a cameo in the next game as long as its not for the sake of having her make a cameo.

I've seen a few male batarians suggested here. It would be interesting if there was a batarian on the team, but I would prefer it never be included as a romance. After reading Revelation (Groto trying to assault/rape a human female prostitute), listening to Talitha's story (possibly raped by batarian slavers), and Jack's prison incident (raped by prisoners and guards...batarian, human, whatever), I always get bad feelings around batarian males/mercs. I know this is biased based on what I have seen and read, but still...I guess we will see.
