As we found out a few months ago, a lot of important NPCs are likely to die at the summit.  Some we've met in the games, others only in the extended canon.  I know we don't know who is going to die, but we all have suspicions.  I started to think about who's early death might make me a bit melancholy, if only for the missed chance of meeting a cool character with my PC.  So, I started this thread.   :D

This thread isn't about why someone should die, or why you feel another poster's choice in a survivor is wrong.  This also isn't about hoping a NPC survives the blast so you can murderknife them later.  That will be for another thread, because I may have one or two myself.  I'm sure someone will start a(nother) thread dedicated to that in time, but this isn't the place.  This is all about who you want to survive the initial disaster.

Anyway, who do you want to see live?   I'm going with Divine Justina, because frankly I'd like to get to know her better first.  I'd like to meet her on screen and interact with her some rather than having her die in the first 2-10 minutes or so of the game.

Hum..but how do you know who is in this summit ? Did I miss something ? Hum......since I don't know who is attending this summit...my vote would be for: the rodent!   There are always mouse hanging around , you always see peoples talking , and then a camera zoom under the table and you see a mouse running by . That's who I hope will make it out without any green shinie creepy eyes !

Basically, pretty much all the leaders and/or representations from across Thedas are going to the Temple of Andraste in Haven (where the dragon was) to organize a peace summit.  They are attempting to end the Mage/Templar war.  The explosion and forming of the Breach will be right there, basically making it ground zero.  There is a lot of potential NPCs that could die, including the Divine, characters from the EU, Bann Teagan, and others.  That's the gist of it.  I was making a thread to see who the posters might want to live.

Even Alistair/Anora ? Hum..well my choice still stand for the mouse to make it out . well unless..whats his name ? Gregoire? The Templar chief in the circle from DAO is in there . He was one that rubbed me off , so if he is...I say bye bye Gregoire

If I'm playing a Trevelyan, I hope my family members there at the summit survive.

I hope Alistair will be okay. I have a habit of putting him on the throne. Oh dear...

Teagan. I want Teagan to survive. And if Anora and/or Alistair are there I want them to survive. And if Irving and Gregoir are there I hope they survive. And the Divine, it would be sad if we can't get to know her.

I hope Alistair/Anora, Teagan and Evageline, Rhys will survive, as much as the explosion at peace summit fuel Templar - Mage War to continue it also kinda sloppy if they decide to kill a large numbers of important characters at once for the sake of easier writing on current story.

After hyping up Alistair's return, I don't think they're going to kill him in the prologue. That would be insulting to his fans.

As if I wasn't already nervous about NPC's dying now I have to worry about this? TYVM!

I'm going with Sebastian and possibly Aveline dying (what might motivate Varric to help Cass) as far as who lives I really hope Alistair makes it out.

How about you don't show spoilers in your thread title?

I'm pretty sure it's just the high leadership of the mages and the Chantry. So I'm hoping the Divine doesn't die nor Fiona because they both seem waaaay too interesting to just die at the intro of DAI.

How is the summit explosion a spoiler ? It's the catalyst for the story, everyone whose looked up a basic plot synopsis knows about the tear. That's hardly a spoiler.

There are several sources quite open about this, including the wiki, and even an article going all the way back to April about this.  Not to mention that the devs haven't shut up about the Breach formation pretty much all summer.  Most of the people that post here/surf the official forums would probably know about as much as those links do.   ;)

If any Orlais Empire(Bards, Chivaliers, Nobles..especially Celine and Gaspar), Orlais Chantry member or Templar/Seeker, Qunari, Antivans will survive i will enjoy and always would kill them by myself...noone from those will survive only my aliiances and members of faction what i support

so i would always save

Apostages-Rebelion Mages

Elves

Grey Wardens

Orzammar/Kal-Sharok dwarves

Barbarians like Avvars

Nevarrans

Tevinters(not criminal and exile with shame like Dorian sh*t)

Tal-Vashots

Am I the only person who cowers when I see any thread with a title relating to NPC death?

Because of what it invites...

That said, anyone who is nice...

If Bann Teagan got vaporized, that would be awful!  :(

I'm not too worried about any other NPCs though...

What haircut?
He comes off as another whiner like Anders. They both need the axe.

Fiona is the one who has to live.
