What haircut?
He comes off as another whiner like Anders. They both need the axe.

If you've read Asunder, you would know that he is not a 'whiner. In fact Cole is one of the most interesting characters to me thanks to the book.

I literally can't think of a single person in that meeting that I might wish to preserve.

I have not read the book, he could be a kewl character. But the art in what I have seen of him thus far is HORRIBLE with that hair. I will kill him on that alone. I do not want to see that in a bunch of talking points.

You cannot honestly say he doesn't look like absolute crap.

But he always wears a huge hat unless you toggle off his helmet... it's not like he'll be walking around looking like that very often. (edit:  and to be perfectly honest, it looks like he has "hat hair" in that picture.  He just needs to run his hand through it and it should look fine)

My other vote for someone I wouldn't mind seeing live is Rhys.  I'd like to meet him as my Inquisitor and ask him about how he feels about the current state of things.

As an aside, I'm not a huge fan of Extended Universe material in many of my games.  However, if you'd like a clearer picture about the state of Thedas as of 9:40 Dragon, read Asunder.  The Masked Empire is pretty damned good, but Asunder seems to have more of a direct connection to the upcoming game.

Rhys.Mostly because he's Wynne's son and after all she went through to keep him safe and happy, his death would depress me.

For the love of god, please let any family members of my Human Mage live through the explosion if present. It annoys me that in both previous DA games the family members are just freakin expendable.

I very much doubt any secular rulers will be at the Summit because it is essentially a Chantry affair and they would want to keep clear of it because of the political flack if it was unsuccessful.    So I would think Alistair, Anora, Celene, Gaspard, etc, would be safe.   They might have sent their representatives, so Teagan could be at risk, but personally I doubt it.    After all, you'd think Vivienne would be there as Court Magician representing Celene, yet we know she is alive and well.

So people at risk are likely to be leading figures in the Mage/Templar war.   This would include Fiona, Adrian (because she wouldn't stand not being involved) and may be the heads of the Fraternities and First Enchanters.   So potentially Irving, Rhys and Evangeline.   Of these, I'd be most concerned about the latter two, particularly as there seemed little point in resurrecting Evangeline only to kill her off a few months later (unless her main purpose was to remove Wynne from the mix).  Cole is quoted as saying he misses them, but this may simply because he they left him at the White Spire rather than the fact he knows they are dead.   On the Templar side, Lambert was already missing so someone senior would have had to take his place.   Gregoire would seem a distinct possibility for this role, so he's likely dead, along with the other Knight Commanders.   Bearing in mind the explosion is meant to leave a huge gap in the leadership of both sides, this would imply most of the leading figures die at the beginning.   It is why the result is utter chaos that needs solving by the Inquisition.

However, what you have to ask is why Cullen, Cassandra and Leliana were not there, or if they were, how they escaped.   It seems odd that they brought in mercenary companies to keep the peace and yet the Divine would not have her right and left hand with her.  Surely Cassandra would be responsible for ensuring overall security and Leliana for the Divine's personal protection.   If Cullen stayed loyal to the Divine, you would think she would welcome his input to the debate.

I think there is a strong possibility that the human Inquisitor's family are numbered among the victims, which would give them a personal motivation in tracking down the culprits.

So in answer to the post, I'm hoping that Rhys and Evangeline make it out but I'm not holding my breath on it.

Evangeline du Brassard. The Templars are (unfairly) seen as nothing more than a bunch of insane mage-oppressing Tranquil-seekers, and there's more to it than that. We only got tidbits from Templar Carver, but he acted like such a pratt (and Warden Carver acted so much better that a comparison inevitably came about), and Cullen has left the Order.

I'd like to see someone who remained loyal to the Templar teachings, if not its leaders, and worked to reform the order.

Evangeline and Rhys. I don't care about anyone else, but these two have to live.

Teagan if he's there, but we pretty much know he'll be involved in the Redcliffe subplot later.

Fiona is the one who has to live.

Quite on the contrary. She's the one that has to die.

I hope they die as my headcanon doesn't allow other family.

I'll just pretend they're lunatics who assume they're my family if the game forces the issue.

I'd like to meet the Divine. Maybe have a little chat about theology, secular politics, and not betraying the men and women who willingly sacrifice their health and later years to protect Thedas from the dangers of uncontrolled mages.

Evangeline if only because it would seem like a waste of her having the Faith Spirit only to be vaporized later.

I also wonder if a Circle Bethany Hawke will appear at the peace talk. If she is then I hope she isn't vaporized as well.

She can live if we get to make her Tranquil later.
In fact, I'm sure the heads of all the separatist fraternities will find useful and productive lives as Tranquil in service to the Reformed Circle.

Sadly, there's no option to make Templars tranquil.
