All righty then.

Doesn't make sense to me, but unless Gaider says otherwise, I simply have to accept it.

Regarding Eamon and Jowan and whatnot, I just ran through it and even if we didn't have the Origin dialogue on Ostagar and Loghain and how he can't be all over the map at the same time and somehow manage to be where he's needed, dialogue from some of the villagers in Redcliffe talks of how the events in the castle are rather recent.

Lloyd says guards stopped coming a week ago, while Berwick came "more then a week back". Valena says that the guards started to randomly go crazy and attack one another before rising up... and as I remember the Desire Demon started immediately doing what it wanted upon possessing Connor. Connor does say that after Jowan was taken away he looked at the books Jowan wouldn't let him see (right after).

I have some screenshots of dialogue I can post I believe (I dunno. I'm at work now so checking them isn't something I can do) but my point is that if the events in the castle are recent and Jowan was apprehended in the act (we have to assume he didn't have much poison since he had to travel from Denerim to Redcliffe) then it follows that Eamon's poisoning was also post-Ostagar.

And it honestly works better for the timeline if Redcliffe is done at least as the second quest, rather then the first one.

It also works better for gameplay, because damn the game gets easier with a Spirit Healer.
