Free Marches DLC. I was disappointed that we won't be visiting any cities in the Free Marches. The DLC could be Kirkwall, Starkhaven, or even Ostwick so my Trevelyan can visit home again.
What extras would you like to see and pay for

No weapon/armor packs. No (charged) MP map packs. Single player expansions. Expansions like Awakening. Expansions like Tribunal, Shivering Isles, and Dragonborn. Weapons and armor can be included in those. Southern Thedas is big. We haven't seen a lot of the Free Marches. We haven't seen Nevarra. We've seen Ferelden. I'm sure that the vanilla game won't cover all of Orlais.
Save Tevinter, Rivain, Anderfels, Antiva, Seheron, and Par Vollen for DA IV onward.
This is why I like you. Agreed 100%.

Of course, I had to bring up DLC at some point. People are rightfully wary of EA's influence, and Darrah noted that they are going to mostly going to listen to fan demand to shape post-game support. Although he wasn't able to confirm anything, DLC will likely be comprised of sandboxes -- large new areas that players can wander around and complete a main quest in, but also find sidequests for. There isn't going to be another expansion like Awakening though, sadly. Darrah said that it was "far too much work, and very expensive, as everything has to interact with the original game."

So I wouldn't count on big expansion, unfortunately.
What a shame.
Best we can expect is something like Legacy or MOTA. Have no interest in item packs.

That article is excellent. It addresses the major blunders in DA II and makes me a lot more confident that DA:I is going to be great.
A story where the PC is the driver, more weighty options, more tactical combat, more interaction-based and less mechanical romance.
Consider me excited!
Not having another Awakening is too bad. To be honest, I don't understand his reasoning, as it was completely seperate and didn't interact with DAO.

Well then work with what we've got. Add in 3-5 explorable regions on the map table, each with their own set of side quests. Connect them through a questline. Have one region function as the prologue. The other 1-3 regions are unlocked after the story has been moved forward in the 'prologue region'. Once the 'main-quest' portions of the 1-3 'middle regions' have been completed unlock the 'final region' where the climax of the questline takes place.
That sounds like an expansion to me. A good 15-20 hours if you ignore the side quests in all 3-5 regions.
I am willing to patiently wait for a 1 year+ for an expansion DLC. If DA:I is as big as BioWare claims I'll be playing it on and off for that long. So will the core fanbase. An expansion also recreates interest in the game. Bethsoft was supporting Skyrim with DLCs 2.5 years after launch. After DA:I is done with expansions and DLCs release an Ultimate or 'Herald' Edition or whatever with everything included (just don't announce it until all DLC is done).

I would like a DLC that lets you change your look anytime you want, like in DA2! Also I would like to go to Kal-sharok! I would like more dwarven centered areas! Maybe a thaig or two! (or somewhere on the surface, that would be good too lol) Well Dwarven centered anything really!

I'd be willing to spend a decent amount of my minimum-wage income for a Legacy-length standalone adventure as the Warden or Hawke. It'd be a nice way to acknowledge that they still exist and are important without devoting a whole other game to them.
Granted I can see where having to remake Hawke/the Warden's skills and specializations to be compatible with DA:I's combat might be too much work for something so small, but still

Another Black Emporium type thing like Casteless mentioned. I used that mirror and those respec potions constantly.
I'd also like more characters with quests that introduce new hub areas and give the PC new weapons and armor.
What I would like most of all though is a character creator for multiplayer.

If there are no large cities in DAI, I'd love to see a sprawling Val Royeaux (and surrounding region) DLC.
If Val Royeaux isn't in the game already I swear to god...

A quest chain where we visit Kal Sharok. That would be especially interesting for a Cadash.
Unique weapons & weapon styles.

Little things would be enough if they were priced appropriately.
1. Can never go wrong with more customization options. For the Skyhold, for crafting for the Inquisitor.
2. Like many people said before - a taste of Tevinter. Maybe see Kirkwall in Frostbite 3? But nothing major. Better save most of northern Thedas for next DA games.
3. A pack that allows more customization to non-skyhold Inquisition keeps and fortresses. Nothing huge but being able to change like 3 buildings could add a lot of individuality to each of the keeps. Unless that's already a feature.
Bigger things:
4. Not gonna happen in this game but - female dwarven LI ![]()
5. Not gonna happen in this game but - a customizable Airship, a bit like the one in Icewind Dale but a bit bigger. I'd do bad things for BioWare at their whim if we could have a mobile airship base/camp in next Dragon Age game

Small-all new weapon types (crossbow, morning star, wand). Maybe a solo boss encounter. A pet familiar such as owl/hawk, mabari etc
Big dlc
New area tied to main story. New enemy with new combat styles. Werewolves, new specializations. New epic level encounters. Add new caves etc to existing areas. Make it. All seamless and not a separate area

A Story revolving around Crows. Possibly a full expansion (not just 1-2 quest dlc) with a visit to Antiva and to see crows In their complete glory. Maybe you get to play as an inquisition agent sent on a mission to assassinate a high ranking official In antiva. That would be cool and fun but I know an old fashioned expansion is never gonna happen.

Real expansions like Awakening, Bloodmoon or Dragonborn, a new big quest in a country you didn't explore in the main game, something like Shadows of Amn

A significant single player expansion. I have zero interest in paying for new weapons/armours, anything to do with multiplayer or a short mission. Something along the lines of Dragon Age: Origins and Awakening would be ideal.
Not fussy on what it would be about, so long as it offers something new to explore.

BioWare has gotten very bad at documenting their games. We haven't seen detailed descriptions of the mechanics in over 10 years. And I really like the mechanics to be documented.
In DAO it was less of a problem, but only because the mechanics were documented fairly well if you looked inside the game files (and an enterprising modder used this to inform his Detailed Tooltips mod), and because one of the combat designers, Georg Zoeller, took it upon himself to provide us with what he called the "Missing Manual, and he had a website where we could learn all sorts of relevant things.
But BioWare proper doesn't seem to release adequate documentation anymore, and if I have to pay them to get them to do it again, I will.

Broodmother mount, I demand the ability to flop into battle upon a giant tentacle beast.
And a mabari for Skyhold, it'd be nice to have it follow you around like Urz did on Tuchanka in ME2.
Oh, and extra areas, of course, with new side quests.

Tribunal was an excellent city adventure. A similar expansion set in Val Royeux would be amazing if we don't get to go in the main game. I'd pay for it. And please for the love of the maker no armor packs you have to pay for that includes armor that make almost everything you can find in-game useless.

Remember this guy? Make an Orlesian version of him as a bonus boss and I'll be satisfied. But it has to be a one-on-one duel. Have Nicholas Boulton do his best over-the-top Arlange impersonation for VA while they're at it.
