Do you think this will be addressed during the course of the game? Will they have a presence in the game? I feel as if they'll make a appearance near end game to set up the plot of the next Dragon Age, but this is just some random thoughts I've had and I'd like to hear some opinions on the matter.

Iron Bull will no doubt remind us of the looming threat, but I feel the main focus of this game will be the resolution of the Orlesian Civil War and Mage-Templar War. Faith and belief play big parts in the story, the Qun will no doubt be explored upon more, courtesy of the priest/ Ben-Hassrath Iron Bull, but they will more likely be a dlc focus.

I don't believe we will have much contact with the Qunari aside from Iron Bull.  Most of the game takes place in Orlais, the Free Marches, and Ferelden apparently, all of which are a long way from Par Vollen.  At most I expect there to be some along Bull's personal questline... but since he's a spy that might not happen since personal meetings might blow his cover.

Well from a narrative no much. Personally ive only seen war with the qunari in da 2 cause of provokion from zealots. So aside from history and a kirkwall. Most have just been empty threats

I think a DLC would work well for this situation. A full expansion like DAA would definitely interest me  .

I imagine that they want the Breach repaired before they invade, with their main rival the Chantry in disarray and Orlais divided, it would be an opportune moment to invade. With Sten as the new Arishok, we have a proven commander who knows how the enemy operates and thinks. Most likely a dlc, very interesting if you play as Adaar Inquisitor.

In that case, it could end up being something akin to Mark of the Assassin.

I also feel its too large a topic to get much attention.    Surely, there will be indications that something is coming on the horizon, but I doubt it will be dealt with in this game on any more than a very superficial level.

It will be like the White Walkers in GoT.    We are constantly reminded of the looming threat, but we never get more than a few brief interactions.

the Qunari have been (in my opinion) one of the biggest sleeping giants in the dragon age lore. we hear of their might and military power and recently we have learned more about their culture. i see them as a religious state that does not want to live peacefully with anyone and is waiting for the chance to invade the other areas of thedas. they definitaly have a hidden agenda. i think Sten was even part of a scouting party during DA:O.

Qunari are no threat. Qunari are the answer.  Submit to the Qun.

There will be nice content in the Islands, and some fun with Sten from DAO im sure.  This will your time to learn of the Qun and the Qunari.  See what its all about first hand and see that it is THE way.  You will also get to see some of the supreme Navy in Thedas.  If the Qunari ever decide its time to take over the world there is no threat.....only submisson.

They're only a threat to those who refuse to embrace the Qun.

I imagine that the qunari are something that will be left for a future installment. There may be some seeds planted about brewing tensions, yadda yadda, but I don't think we'll see anything on the scale of what was in DA2.

This. The next game is going to have the Par Vollen-Thedas conflict as focus imho. And it's going to be set in Antiva-Rivain. Tevinter would be more interesting, but since Bioware is forcing as to see it as the Bad People nation, I doubt we are going to go there.

They wrote a companion based on the premise that Tevinter isn't an evil nation.

The horned devils must be pushed back to par vollen and then across the sea to where they belong.  Heretical beasts that taint the glow of Andraste with their very presence.  After I take care of this little fade rift problem they will be top priority.  I already have my agent 'Exalted Mother Petrice' to keep an eye on them.

Can the Qunari be the ISIS of Dragon Age?

I don't know if it will be addressed, but I sincerely hope we can do something about it, like steal the formula for the gaatlok, or put the Qunari on the frontlines of the demon invasion so they can be decimated.

With Sten at the helm of the Qunari, there is nothing to fear...after all he was the weakest companion in Origins or at least he went down super quick when the fool tried to challenge my authority in Haven

The qunari will make their move soon , I'm sure. And when they do, those who are wise will submit to the Qun.
