Always a good thing that. Oh dear it so could've been worse for the Dalish
They would have been extinct long before the dragon age rolled around...

Because you did a apple to oranges argument. If you don't want people to mock your argument and take it serious, then make sure the dam argument fits what is going on.
Are you serious? You used the actions of some Dalish elves to condemn all the Dalish in respond to my post about the Dales, which had nothing to do with post-Dales society.
They would have been extinct long before the dragon age rolled around...
And it would've be for the most solid reasons of them all too
Are you serious? You used the actions of some Dalish elves to condemn all the Dalish
Seriously how long is that damn argument going to be employed?
99% of them seen thus far have been hostile dicks.
Okay, and an example? How is it being obtuse for me to ask you to actually cite a source. One? One single source? One that says the Chantry wants no other religions to exist. I can give several of everyone else doing what you're accusing the Chantry of doing, but you can't give me one of the Chantry actually doing what you claim?
Those aren't opinions, they are references to actual lore. While I get the whole argument about citing a source, the plain fact of the matter is that you know the lore as well as I do. You keep insinuating that the Chantry has no interest in crushing other religions but there is zero support for this in the games, the books, or the lore.
Again: the Chant itself contains verses that clearly indicate that Chantry doctrine holds all other deities from the Maker to be false gods, not real gods at all. The Chant also insists that it must be spread to all the corners of the world. The Chantry clergy characters in the game reflect this doctrinal belief in their attitudes toward non-Chantry religion, and toward non-Chantry individuals.
No, I'm not going to take the time to cite each and every instance. Yes, I'm aware of the arguments you could make about my refusal to do so. However, once again, I DID actually point out the lore that backs this up, even if I didn't cite you chapter and verse. Moreover, again, I know you are aware of all that; refusing to acknowledge it is just intellectual dishonesty on your part.

Now if they had him

We'd be going somewhere lol
Elrond wouldn't care for such inferior elves
Now if they had him
They wouldn't be going anywhere.
._. They would just stay put for Age after Age doing nothing.
So how about that whole Herald of Andraste thing, huh?
They wouldn't be going anywhere.

Better than some clans acting like jerks

Then present them, otherwise, I'm going to assume it's your opinion and nothing more, just like pretty much everything else you've ever said.

Yes, the Chantry does not support any other gods in its religion. That has nothing to do with cohabitation.

Or any for that matter, you're much to important a person to actually back up your claims. Leave that to the baser creatures.
So how about that whole Herald of Andraste thing, huh?
It's a title people call you, you can't force every npc in the game to respect your wishes.
The Dales isolated themselves from Orlais, who do not represent the entirety of humanity, but a nation created by conquest through Drakon's Exalted Marches. The elves isolating themselves from a neighbor who conquered their other neighbors to impose Drakon's Cult of the Maker on the populace doesn't represent how they would necessarily respond to other human nations, and there were problems between the Dales and Orlais, to the point it prevented Drakon from conquering the Free Marches.
You're also inserting conjecture as evidence. Let's stick with the facts.
They chose to isolate themselves from humans in general, it could have been a generally benign country like Antiva as their neighbour & they'd still have reacted with hostility towards them
If such a country contained a Chantry HQ that sent armed incursions into their country, I suppose.
But really, this topic just proves once more that A. the Dalish are far more interesting than any other topic, and B. some people are inexplicably offended by their very existence.
Umm did you ever get Bro. Burkel that chantry in Orzammar? The epilogue wasn't kind about how that ended.
Exactly which group is this statement supposed to make look bad, the dwarves or the Chantry?
Burkel was killed while being arrested by the dwarven authorities because he was protesting their crackdown on dwarves who began converting to the Chantry. As a result of this and the riots that followed, the Divine considered an Exalted March. No action was ever taken by the Chantry, though if it had been, it's clear that it would have been in response to dwarven aggression against dwarves who were voluntarily joining the Chantry. The Chantry itself was never directly involved, nor did they attempt to convert anyone... Burkel was acting alone, and if the Warden didn't strong-arm the Shaper of Memories, he never would have gotten his idea off the ground.

I don't disprove.

Dalish, interesting. lol
CIty elves are interesting, dalish are just your common dick faction Bioware likes to include.
No, we're not talking about the homophobic and transphobic comments made in your group made by you and your members in the thread closed down by BioWareMod02, we're addressing me.
You're going to judge all of us by the actions of a few?
... by being the "Herald of Andraste" legitimacy is bestowed upon your cause ...
And presumably allows romance options not otherwise open to you ![]()

I can provide one:
World of Thedas, page 118:
"Nonhumans: The Chantry began and has continued to be a predominantly human organization. Other races are seen to be futher from the Maker. The elves have their false pantheon of idols. The dwarves worship themselves. The Qunari are worst of all, actively crushing worship of the Maker and desecrating Chantry values in the name of the Qun. For these reasons, other races are considered all the more worthy of saving. The Chantry believes the Maker won't return until even the Qunari sing his name."

Like Lotus Assassins or Holy Reclaimers.
Dalish, interesting. lol

Both sides are interesting. But while the Dalish have certainly become a hate sink for everyone who enjoys traditionalist status quos and will blame the woes of their disenfranchised foes on the actions of said foes alone, I think Bioware has more in mind for them than that.
Seeing as so far every single dalish we have seen is a
1:Dick
2:Bigot
3:Stupid
Ya....If Bioware wants to prove me wrong, then show us a clan not filled to the brim with that.
Yep, the Dalish are a worthless and deplorable people. Maker willing, we can work towards forever ridding the world of the Dalish identity and assimilate them into humanity and/or the city elves in DAI.

I see nothing wrong with any of that.
