I think my Dwarf Inquisitors will be all kinds of mad that cute scout from the Demo is not romancable. Dumb humans and elves.
So what's in it for the dwarfs?

I worry about this, however unfairly since it's way too early to know, because I am so attached to dwarves. I really do hope they get some cool race specific content. I will play as one even if it's the most overlooked and underdeveloped race but....I really don't want that!
I couldn't have said it better myself! ![]()

Well seeing as how Dwarves don't have any natural connection to the Fade; as well as being unable to dream; maybe Dwarf players will have special dialogue with main demon characters and/or the Elder One?
When dealing with the Humans, Elves, and Qunari the Elder One will be all "Your feeble attempts to stop me will fail, I am the supreme ruler of Thedas. Blah Blah Blah."
But when dealing with a Dwarf Inquisitor, he would be confused "What are you? You are an anomaly."

I would love it if there was a lot of dwarf specific lines of just people going "bwah?? how??"
DwarfQuizzie: I can close tears with my magic hand and go into the fade!
Solas: How??
Dorian: Bwah?
Dagna: *bro fist*

In this game? I believe it was confirmed we're not seeing Kal-Sharok.

I'm looking forward to playing a dual-wielding Cadash. The carta's involvement in the lyrium trade might factor into the mage/templar war, or trade connections could make diplomatic wartable missions more relevant. Perhaps there will be trade missions with Orzammar or Kal-Sharok? If so, Josephine is going to wind up being my go-to adviser for my dwarf inquisitors.
I have Cadash Inquisitors planned that thrived in the Carta and those that bucked against their live growing up as a Cadash under control of the Carta. I think the Lyrium connection is going to be HUGE for the plot but especially for a Dwarf Inquisitor. They'll either get to see the consequences of the Carta's Lyrium trade first hand and either be horrified or maybe even increase the flow. I'm curious how the whole "save the world or plunge it into chaos" thing plays out with regard to how control over lyrium could severely alter the course of the Mage-Templar War.
I think there will be a unique perspective as a surface Dwarf as well. It would be interesting if a connection with Shayle cropped up somehow too. Plus as one of the first (or only) modern Dwarf to have a direct connection to the Fade, practically every conversation has to be filled with surprised people, ha! Just imagine how Solas is going to react to that! And if Dagna is in it, she's going to lose her mind. Honestly, I think Dwarves might even have the most unique racial dialogue.

Who said the Dwarven Inquisitor has a connection the Fade and not the Veil itself?

Dwarf was my 2nd or 3rd playthrough choice, first being Elf. I think on another post else where, i had female dwarf rogue as a 2nd playthrough choice, and Qunari female warrior as a 3rd. I'm not big on playing humans so a human male something likely mage will be my 4th. Also Blackwall might as well be a dwarf, dat beard.... Also he's a warden, highly respected organization by Dwarven standards, and while my Cadash Dwarf isn't from the stone beneath she still respects where her family came from, and it's traditions even if it sets her up in a unfavorable way by said ancestors.

Maybe Dagna will get a expanded role in some DLC and become a Sebastian like romancable/friending relationship. Also just because Varric isn't romanceable he might be more friendly to a fellow Dwarf who was born topside and is a part of a family business.

Were I going to play a dwarf Inquisitor - I would totally see it as a chance to build the first surface Thaig.
Who CARES what Orzamaar and Kal Sharok think - the surface is the only way to currently reconnect the Thaigs, and I'm going to forge my new headcanon dwarf empire along the Frostback mountains.
There - my new dwarf empire will march into the deep roads (without having to worry about their surface kingdom) and retake the Thaigs.
Dagna should have totally been one of the main companions.

Gold of course!
I'm bummed too that Varric is not LI. However, I can't wait to play my female dwarf. I was really sad that in DA 2 we had to play human.
For sure my heroine will be a rogue - I'm thinking about creating an archer.
Being a dwarf is it's own reward. The other, inferior races have to live with the constant regret of never having been born a dwarf .
Fist bump!

That'd be super cool. I love Dagna.
And I am definitely hoping on some fun Varric-Cadash content, even if it's just Cadash going "Varric Tethras! I remember your name. Your bookkeping was impeccable!" and then Josie is like "OOOH TELL ME ABOUT IT" and they have the nerdiest, must mundane crime mafia conversation ever.

Gotta say, I'm going back through the previous two games to have a shiny all-dlc-no-glaring-errors-playthrough (in case the Keep is borked and I can't hook my Orlesian wardens in or whatever), and now I'm squeaking whenever I see the name Cadash.
THAT'S GOING TO BE ME IT'S EXCITING OKAY

I wonder if the Cadash family is seeking to reinstate thier Noble status similar to what Bertrand/Tethras was doing?
Considering they've got you working for the Carta...I kind of doubt it.

I don't think those are mutually exclusive. Don't forget that Beraht's got a plan for the DC Warden that would have ended with him/her being ennobled, even if that was for no other reason than because Beraht couldn't avoid it if he wanted similar status.
