What are people's obsession with playing the infiltrators?
Store only handing out these characters now?
I wish. Then maybe I wouldn't be the only person killing things.

I do not mind one in a game, but any more then that and the game gets boring.
I did not know that about the banshees, then again they never are around long enough for me to notice.Bronze level players can play on gold. They don't need any skill, don't need any experience, don't need good gear or weapons, don't have to worry about getting sync killed & they can just stand there doing their heavy melee while the rest of the team does all the work. It's basically the mobile version of camping on Firebase White against Geth. Best way for a new player to get a ton of credits. Doesn't bother me, they make a good distraction.
I just don't understand why Bioware programmed the Banshees to ignore everything else & go straight for the Juggernaut. That just ruins the game. Never knowing if you're gonna get grabbed was part of the fun. But if there's a Juggernaut on the field the Banshees just ignore you & walk right by. There's no danger anymore. Instead of being constantly chased by Banshees, now I have to chase them. And if I shoot them they STILL ignore me. The Brute's will turn around & charge at me but not the Banshees. I really wish Bioware didn't do that. It's totally stupid & unrealistic.
The real question is what is more annoying: badly played Juggernauts or people whining about badly played Juggernauts?
Look. There are only three certainties in life, badly played Juggernauts, death and taxes. That's just how it is, so suck it up princesses. If it weren't the Juggernaut, it'd be the AIU. If it weren't the AIU. it'd be the TGI. If it weren't the TGI, it'd be the Krogan Vanguard. And so on and so forth. Noobs are gonna take tanky, easy classes to Gold to avoid getting stomped and, nine times out of ten, fail miserably due to a lack of skill, understanding of the game mechanics or gear/equipment/weapons.
So you are comparing a single character use to a class of characters. Ok well let make it simple:
Why do 92% of people play soldier class with the majority being geth juggernauts? Soldier gets played more than anything. If its not a juggernaut it's the geth trooper or vorcha flame throwing everywhere. I will give you infiltrator as a second because there is usually 1 playing at any time but not a specific one besides that stupid edi.
That was a single example from one match yesterday (and was stated as such) - That doesn't make it a sweeping generalization, and if you read my posts, you'll see I'm not running any comparisons.
I have met many other full DPS Jugg's (mentioned them before) but they at least put in a tank effort if needed - That's a damn sight better than getting Jugg's who want to camp corners of the map with sniper rifles and spam siege pulse hoping for epic scores that can be gotten using a more appropriate class.
Either way, my point still stands - I see FAR less Jugg's of any description than I do Infil's or Engineers during my every day MP'ing.

When used correctly, as an offensive platform, the Jugg is a beast.1v1 me baby!

I have to agree with the first paragraph, as the juggernaut was the first character I played that did well in gold. Building him to the point where he almost never got dropped, ran the scoreboard, and took the heat off team mates to be a true tank, took time and testing and practice just like any other kit does. But yes, until I got the juggernaut I had trouble running other kits in gold. Now I don't. I think it's a good thing.
As for banshees, I have a theory on that. For one, and it's a simple reason, taller characters are more easily seen and locked onto first. I see it happen to krolords all the time, too. Banshees pursue something they lock to with more persistence than other units, and it takes a lot to change their trajectory. Being tall, a jugg is just likely to get chased first, and banshees don't get distracted easily. Other than that, they're attracted to how much damage you've taken. This is supposed to come off as a desire to finish off the most injured characters, but even if a jugg is repairing itself with heavy melee and not really getting damaged, they stick like glue because you're taking so much heat and read that as being hurt. I don't see this as a glitch, or an unrealistic design, but rather just that banshees REALLY want things dead, and REALLY don't like giving up on a target, and aren't aware enough to understand why a jugg swarmed by reapers isn't dropping.
I like playing Juggernaut when I am out of good ammo and weapon mods and need to earn some more credits. It's not hard to top the board in an UUG PUG, you just have to pick the right targets and never stop moving. Reegar makes shooting while moving easy, too.
Adrenaline III mod, Targeting VI III, Incendiary Ammo II and the Juggernaut Shield V. Just walk past all enemies while aiming for their heads, never stop, never camp. Use the Geth Turret to repair your shields if you walk towards an enemy shooting at you (for example a Ravager). Always use light cover, never use the Hex Shield. Heavy Melee only to repair shields or to stop an enemy from running away (Nemesis) or executing another player. Light Melee is an excellent crowd control tool, too. Melee also cuts off animations like reloading your weapon. Siege Pulse is more useful for damage reduction than for damage in this setup.
Always keep the positions of your team in mind, so you can stand to the side and won't block their shots. If someone needs to be revived, place your Geth Turret there first, it'll give them shields once they stand up. It's also good for hacks and devices.
For range I have my trusty Falcon. It's not the most damaging weapon but it staggers several enemies at once while I walk towards them. Juggernaut shields can take a lot but it's even better if you don't get shot at all.
Yeah, my setup is definitely not doing the most damage per shot. But I don't really have to stop shooting. All the time an Infiltrator uses to dodge, to kite, to run to a better position etc... in all that time I am killing enemies. That strategy only falls apart on large maps like Rio when your team takes out all the spawns as soon as they appear. Which pretty much never happens in PUGs.
A badly played Juggernaut will drag down the entire team and die quite often. My favourite one is the lvl12 Juggernaut with his Avenger III, trying to tank 2 Banshees, 1 Brute and a handful of Cannibals and Marauders, while being targeted by 2 Ravagers. And to make sure his team can't take out the Ravagers quickly, he placed the Hex Shield in front of the snipers who now have to stand in the open without even light cover to make the shot. Thank you very much.
You know a mission was crap when everyone but the Juggernaut has a silver Revive medal.
I wish I could just take one of my fragile engineers or infiltrators into any random PUG but I play to have fun, not to rage at the incompentence of my team or wonder why someone thinks he can host with his 56k connection. Especially fun if you have a ballistic weapon and enemies are warping around all over the place. So I take my Juggernaut when I'm not in the mood for risks.

Lol you are a geth juggernaut
OK.
You on ps3?OK.
This thread motivates me to play some ME3 MP this morning. As a Juggernaut.
It's the best charachter in the game, cos' you can melee Banhsees all day every day (literally) and don't get synckilled.
I wish I were as smart as you.
I wish I were as smart as you.

I wish I were as ironic as you.
Fixed.
"Oh, great! A Geth Juggernaut!"
"What a noob! Soaking up all the damage, allowing me to kill enemies at my leisure. That bastard!"
"Oh, there he goes, reviving another teammate"
"No good son of a ******."
Properly played, a sniper juggernaut can do a crapload of damage.

Speaking of which - Got into a PUG Plat lobby and there it is... GJugg with Mantis X, no consume//ammo, and a JuggShield V.
I'd have stayed seeing as I've been in queue for 5minutes, but they downgraded to Gold.
In theory but they never do anything but die and suck at life. I don't even pick them up."Oh, great! A Geth Juggernaut!"
