Most of my least favorite games are NES games. Not that there was something wrong with the NES, but back in those days it was just much harder to get reliable information about what you were getting. The worst of the worst for me was Magmax, a side-scrolling schmup that was the height of tedium (yes, those green and brown rectangles are supposed to represent a forest). There's also Top Gun, for all of the reasons AVGN mentions. I'm sure there are a whole bunch of others, but that's all I can think of right now.

Ride to Hell: Retribution makes even the worst game look like a masterpiece, so that would definitely be first on my list.

 

I played a demo of this game, thinking there was no way it could be as bad as people said it was. It was worse, somehow.

Almost nobody here has ever played genuinely bad games. Myself included. And when we do, we stop doing so in 5 minutes or so. You don't play a genuinelly BAD game! 

 But I could list a selection of stupid, disappointing games that somehow leave me feeling they insult me, wound my hobby and my favorite pop culture  industry as a whole..Sure!

Assassin's Creed 3 - Terrible pacing and boring.

The Witcher - Pretty much unplayable before enchanced edition came out.

Bioshock 2 - Cashgrab on Bioshock 1 fame.

Yea, it is. But your saying that your tired of people putting down DA2 in a thread asking them to list the games they think is the worst

No measure of mods can cure a horrible engine and a variety of questionable design choices.

Yeah, I liked it too. Thought it did a lot of things right, with everything considered, and the characters were pretty charming. I liked a whole lot more of them in DA2 than I did in DA:O, and I felt like the plot had more depth and focus.

 

Never really understood the mass dislike for it.

That DA2 was rushed, half-assed and mediocre isn't hard to grasp. Is it enjoyable? Sure, but that doesn't make the blatant flaws go away.

Let's see, the 5 worst games that I've played are (in random order)...

 

1) Batman: Dark Tomorrow (Xbox)

2) Kingdom Under Fire: Circle of Doom (360)

3) Magna Carta (360)

4) Suikoden 4 (PS2)

5) Bioshock (360)

 

There are some other bad ones but their names escape me...
