^MindJack actually looks kinda cool...^

This is mostly why I disliked it. The idea was great, but it was ridiculously badly implemented, with bugs and technical issues abound and terrible design choices making it nigh-unplayable. The plot was hanging by a thread, and I didn't feel like any of the mechanics were explained in-universe, and nothing was resolved in the end.

You should play Second Sight, for PS2. Kind of similar, I think, but Second Sight is better.

Don't any of you forget to list FF:Dirge of Cerberus or Dino Crisis 3.

Another game that doesn't deserve to make a list like this but that's just me.

Pretty much why I haven't bothered posting. There's games that I feel disappointed by or want nothing to do with whatsoever but I don't think any of them belong on a worst games list.

See I was going to post Eternal Sonata but it wouldn't be fair since there's a difference between my least favorite and the worst game ever made. As much as I hate the game to death I can't say it's objectively worse then E.T. or Ride to Hell. I see a lot of dissapointing games on this thread but a lot of them don't deserve to be called the worst games ever.

I have to throw an extra shovel of dirt on The Witcher's coffin.  Not the worst game ever, but one of the largest disappointments.

I wanted to like that game so much.  I like the company's ethics and always appreciate a good story-driven RPG.  But the combat was awful, the writing was more expository than a Wikipedia entry, and the voice acting may as well been recorded at a funeral home for all the life it had.  Very pretty on the surface, but ultimately like biting into a piece of wax fruit.

No its a great game. I loved it as much as DAO. But I can look at it from a rational POV unlike many.

It is objectively bad on many levels.  You are perfectly free to like things that are objectively bad, that is where is the subjective part comes in.  For example: I'm a huge fan of the Original Two Worlds, that game is also objectively bad.

The worst game I've ever attempted to play was definitely Divinity: Ego Draconis, the locked 30 fps and horrible stuttery animations made me physically ill (literally) it doesn't get much worse than that.  Also any of the Sims games, I just don't get them, or understand why they are a thing.

I was kind of hoping to see more actual bad games here, instead of excuses to rag on fatally flawed games that were supposed to be good. Such as...

A million years ago I got a game called Pac-Man 2:The New Adventures for rent from Blockbuster... it was... horrible. It had like one nice moment but basically it was a game I was actually emotionally afraid of trying to play more of past a certain point.

Yeah...

There was also this text only RPG called Avalon or something, it was like you had no idea how to do anything, but this guide guy came along and supposedly gave you a "tutorial," and that's all I could figure out about the game.

Oh, I did figure out that /punch hit something, and I finally managed to punch the guide. He didn't respond though, kept proceeding to explain how to move north or something, he gets an A for customer service I guess.

I never did figure out how to do anything other than punch him and a goblin during the tutorial, a whole world waiting to be explored... .never to happen.

Well the thing is, none of us have actually played any truly awful games, other than the poor suckers that have played Mindjack, etc. So its not surprising really.

It had that "Ride to Hell: Retribution" charm before it was cool.

It would be a good M&M game if it had came out three or four years earlier, but it didn't.

It looked pretty pathetic next to games like Morrowind.

Dark Rift on the n64 was pretty crap. I had some questionable tastes as a kid.

I checked out the Wikipedia, this is pretty good

Aaron Maverick: from the planet Earth, Aaron is a weapons and explosives expert and use a MFG-16 rifle. Aaron is also a master in karate.

Morphix: the Light Dimension is the home of Morphix, a pure energy entity, nobody knows his past. Morphix can transforms his body parts into blades

Zenmuron: Zenmuron uses a Phoenix Katana and Kenjutsu. Nobody knows any other information about him.

Nobody knows any other information about him... that got me good.

Yea Morphix was totally my jam though. He looked so cool with that blue t-1000 ripoff look.

Apparently they had some other games too, also with more brilliant character design

Dayton Trent - A solitary mercenary and treasure hunter that was hired by The Chosen Ones to find The Relic. He plans to sell the Relic to the highest bidder, retire, and then take up fishing.

S.I.D. - Product of a twisted experiment, the Sentient Integrated Droids wander the wilderness with one goal: destroy all carbon based life forms.

Mongoro, from the Clan of the Cyclops, the strongest cyclops, he only wants to kill and eat whoever is unfortunate to cross his path.

Gosh where did all those games go, they used to be all over the place, alas.

GTA 3 was kinda the first 3d sand-box game that you can actually do lots of stuff, eg driving, being a police, ambulance, going rampage etc. It was fun for 2001-2.

lol Witcher 2

What the hell xD

The game is what story telling in video games SHOULD be about. Even without the 'RPG' added.

Loved the first one, hated the second one. Couldn't even bother finishing it.
