Hmm... out of the 65 characters in ME3 MP, only 17 out of those are female (including asari) while there are 42 males, 5 synthetics (geth and AIU), and one undetermined (Awakened Collector). Having 'more' female DA MP characters seems to balance that fact out for BW in terms of MP characters. Besides, we're going to get more characters in the months after DA:I's launch, so it'll only be temporary. Your worry is for nothing, OP.
Males kinda under represented in MP

I find myself oblivious, are you saying the T word is the Taint?
Then yes, I agree that we need some Grey Warden characters for DLC...
OOOOH... Grey Warden Mabari! They have mastered their taint!
OH: Templar Mabari! Barks that drain Magic! So good! Wow!
OOOOOOOOH: Mage Mabari! They were created with the help of magic, right? Barks that shoot lightning!
REAVER MABARI! WOW, MUCH BLOODLUST, VERY CAPITAL LETTERS.
Lol, troll actually. But I agree, grey wardens would be great.
I admit it has occurred to me that the Mabari swallow Darkspawn blood all the time. They must be grey wardens!

Wait, if there are four human women and three human men, is BioWare saying men are less human than women?
(╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ OUTRAGE
I pop into the multiplayer forum for two seconds and I'm already being triggered.

No no, I'm pretty sure Taint is the T Word. And Mabari have mastered it.
Also: Pack DLC. Make it happen, Bioware. ![]()

So, males are "kinda under-represented" in Dragon Age: Inquisition's multiplayer component.
I remember when representation meant something. When it was supposed to give an accurate reflection of whatever any piece of media was portraying, be it the vampiric underworld of New York City or the Italian Ministry of Illuminati-Conspiracy Theories. Yes I'm joking but you get my meaning. Now, one day the issue arose that videogames were leaning too heavily on heterosexual white male characters. PoCs, LBGTQ and females needed representation too. To this day, the issue remains, and to this day, people are saying (most) videogames are painting a wrong picture of society. In a culture in which the heterosexual white male seems to be the big hero, the 'star' of gaming, that might send the wrong message to gamers, especially the younger among them.
And now we have the issue of male characters being "under-represented" in the multiplayer component of the new installment in a videogame franchise that in my opinion is already doing quite well as far as representation goes. Because oh yeah, males don't get enough representation in games.

I had a look at your tumbler linked in your sig. There was a video of Skyhold on Game Informer? Where? Do you have a link? Thanks!

Oh wow, I did not expect that question. Well, people who are susbcribed to GameInformer got the video with their virtual copy of the magazine, so it's not up in the public demon. Someone might have posted it on YouTube but I don't have a link for you, sorry.

The fact the game has multiplayer makes me so happy I don't care. I'm not the biggest fan of playing girl characters, but....Reaver
No need for males or females.....only Qunari.

I like the way you think

more likely the OP mistook some pictures as female. Or he can't count. or he's a troll.
This topic is invading every thread, it's ridiculous.

For crying out loud, leave MP out of this "representation" BS. MP is about HAVING FUN WITH YOUR FRIENDS OR STRANGERS ONLINE, not about 'representation'. What's the next step? Wailing about not enough gay people of color in MP?

Oh right, thanks
For the life of me I can't understand why it would matter if there were more female options, or whatever combination, in multiplayer.
EDIT: to be honest I suspect the T word here. The OP hasn't been back
Game will be purchased by mostly males, and guys don't want to play as women,.. unless they dress in bikini, cue a bunch of otaku games.

I tend to choose female avatars. Although I don't see it as "playing as a woman" so much as "playing a woman character" and I shy away from aggressively sexualised characters.
EDIT: Oh and I'm a man.

This isn't a serious thread I take it?
I could care less who voices my texture mapped polygons, be it male or female, as long as they're fun to play.

You should go to a romance thread. Even better make one and say how "straight males deserve more romance options due to their supremacy" Not only would I love you, but the resulting fireworks would be hilarious! and page after page after page after page and days later you will still live on LMAO.
