Whoa, holy hand grenades bat-man, i wasn't trolling and i apologize to those that the thread came off as such. Sorry when i first posted this i honestly thought there was 7 females and 5 males. because the Assasin, Necro, Keeper, Reaver, Alchemist, and Templar are all women for sure. i was unsure of the Elementalist but if it looks like it... well to each their own. i just wish that we could customize the MP character that way i wouldn't have to play as a female. i just have a hard time relating or immersing is all.

sorry if this thread got you all riled up. i promise it was not my intent.

Was about to post something along "Why does it even matter", "Take your PC crusade elsewhere" and then I read this.

Where should I shake my fist at now? Hm?

I always find it best to shake my fists skyward, in unison, wait for the camera to pan wide, then yell some monosyllabic name or word... Like flan or spoon. Just a thought.

Huh. Those are pointy ears. I think that's an elf.

Wait, if there are four human women and three human men, is BioWare saying men are less human than women?

Personally, I love playing a female in a tank/extremely offensive position (like the reaver). It's like proving that the women are just as tough as the men.

Overall, I'm just thrilled to play any character. I'm getting MP for the PS4 and cannot WAIT to freakin play with y'all. I have a feeling the keeper/archer classes are going to be a lot of peoples first pick as well..then I'll feel like we need a tank so I'll give in and play as one.

The elementalist got his own write up, which actually sounds pretty cool for anyone playing a Human Mage since they did the same battles together. I don't think you ever came off as a troll, Legionaire, Elementalist, Archer, Arcane Warrior, Qunari guy, are all pretty squarly men, and I am pretty sure they will keep it up with Hunter as well.

That way there are 2 of each gender for each class.

Do... do you hear that sound?

The sound of lady gamers everywhere cackling like banshees?

It's a beautiful sound.

(and before a lady pops up insisting "I don't feel like that!" just please relax and drink some tea with me, I'm sure dudes and their masculinity - fragile as it is - can handle having to play outside their gender.)

I know right... Or those of us grey-skinned, seven foot tall horned people who finally get a chance to feel immersed...

Seriously though, I have never had a problem playing either male or female characters, the character design and skill set are always what interest me and this time it looks like I will have a lot to choose from. Thanks for giving me so many options to pick from BioWare. Sheesh ;)

Personally I think there are too many male characters in single player and multiplayer. They should all be female.

I hate playing a male character. It just doesn't feel right to me and makes the game less immersive.

Fair enough. To each their own. I like that we have the ability to choose between characters of various races and genders. I have never felt that my gender had any particular bearing on my enjoyment of playing a character due to their gender. I also do not feel limited in playing a Qunari or Elf, despite the fact that I am sadly only Half-elven...Variety is the spice of life!... Or was that Old Bay?... I can never remember... ;)

I know right? Good thing there aren't a whole 2 more female characters than males, or I'd have to bust out my torch n' pitchfork.

Bah! I am tired of BioWare only appealing to the male and female humans, dwarves, elves, and qunari, where are the genderless forces of nature?

TELL ME BIOWARE!

I am still waiting on that playable entity created by the tears of children in peril.

Only way to settle the gender debate is scrap the characters, replace them with sylvans, then no one needs to worry about the gender they're playing as.

The BioWare devs the need to go to a forest somewhere and record the sounds of the forest, that will have to do for VO work. And make damn sure there are no human male or female vocals and or sounds recorded... Actually what if there are more female birds chirping than male ones... Dammit just scrap sound altogether.

Silent cyborgs could work too I suppose, not sure how that fits in lore wise though....

Yeah, I don't care even if it was a 75% / 25% ratio for genders on the Multiplayer.  Coming from somebody who always plays a male as that's what I am and what I relate to most, and who likes Multiplayer, I just don't think it's a significant issue.

Now that being said, still no Dwarf Love Interests?

PITCHFORKS and TORCHES!!!

Personally. I hope they do like they did in the Mass Effect III MP. they had a male and female representative of each class. I am hopeful that they will add more as the packages are introduced. like M.E I view this as the starting point. I will play the Hunter for launch. and hopefully he is as cool. as I think he could be. :)
