The human males are stuck with the weedy archer and hunter. What if I wanted a heavy metal Reaver dude who listens to Anthrax whilst he drinks mage blood?

 

You can be badass and not be a bulky warrior wielding a greatsword/battleaxe/maul or a sword/axe/mace and shield.  Besides, there's a badass male Qunari 2-hander warrior, so I don't think you're going to be left out in the cold.  Not to mention that there's the Elementalist and mages can be pretty damn badass.

 

But hey, to each his own, I guess.  Me?  I'm going to try to grab the Assassin ASAP.

The fact the game has multiplayer makes me so happy I don't care.  I'm not the biggest fan of playing girl characters, but....Reaver

Bioware why no full character customization like in single player .  I bet if player's were given choice between full customization or choose the cookie-cutter classes  bioware are offering the vast majority would make there own.  Hoping for full character customization in updates, For heavens sake i'd pay for it , five dollars per character, Why can't bioware make everyone happy and make some money if it come to it. Im one of the lucky few i was going to make a male dwarf tank anyway.

Its more like Path of Exile in Dragon Age. I actually like each character having own style and agenda. Need just more characters and power balance assymetrical... One can support and tank other can AOE and support etc..

Wow, like Broganisity said, surprised this is still going. All this started over one man's misunderstanding and yet now it has a life of its own. That's the power of the interwebs, children...

Also I agree with BlackStork, I would rather be able to play a character with a background, specific voice work and a clear concept than play generic inquisition agent male/female Mage number 247, Blandus the Blandalist, Master of the Bland Arts... BTW true story, that was the second most vacated post at Hogwarts, just ask Dumble... Ohh wait...

Meh I would not mind if there was only one guy. Same with if there was only 1 girl. As long as you don't cut one gender out I would not mind. I like having males and females of each class tho. So it's not like "all warriors are men" etc.

There 2 female warriors. Play with them. thay also share quite bunch of skills. So you can have very similar builds between them.

Honestly? I'm more disappointed at the lack of Mabari in SP and MP. I sincerely hope Bioware will give us a DLC which includes a Mabari.

I think males are represented fairly on MP. I think the problem here is that the males are not the Assassin or the Necromancer etc etc. Im guessing thats the problem here in regards male fairness.

I honastly think its pretty evenly out and each character have a great personality! Except for the Archer. He is just straight up sook.

My only problem is there is no female archer character. Looking at how it's done so far there is a male and female tank, male and female 2h dd, both genders for mages and strangely only male ranged rouges and only female dagger rouges. I'd love to see a gender swap option added later or new classes of both genders to give us more choice.

I dont think Bioware will add a gender switch on these character's as they all have background/story to them.

Well now that the game is out, and the so called inter character banter is awful, they have about 4 lines each, and most voices are cringe worthy to listen to, It's safe to say they should have let us make our own characters. They sacrificed that option and limited choice for some proper rubbish "characters" who spam their limited lines relentlessly and don't really interact. Heaven forbid you have two the same character picked: that is pain.
