Heterosexual male inquisitors get only two romance options in Cassandra & Josie while heterosexual female inquisitors get four options in Blackwall, Solas, Iron Bull & Cullen.

So much for balance. There better be a damn goox plot reason for why Vivi is not romanceable.

Only hetero female elves get four, hetero human females get 3 and everyone else gets 2, like the straight guys.

Yeah mate its not great, but meh just play different sexual orientations. Theres so much more to Dragon Age then the dating sim component of it. Also it was like this for straight females in me3 I believe.

Bioware games have never been balanced when it comes to romance. DAO gave straight gamers more options, DA2 gave straight women more options and ME1/2/3 gave straight men more options. I don't know why people actually thought this would be any different.

 

Also except for straight women, we have equal options to gay men and women so it's hardly that unfair.

I am playing 2 males who will romance cassandra and jozi. I am playing 2 females who will romance Solas and Sera.

I am playing 2 males who will romance cassandra and jozi. I am playing 2 females who will romance Solas and Sera.

Unsure what my first char will be, but know have five chars I want to play, my dwarf male will be for Cass of-course and my human male noble will be for Dorian thrpugh given how my playhtroughs typically go that most likely will end up reversed between those two.

Though unsure how my three female playthroughs will end up.

Get the feeling it will depend on choices and that may be one of the things mentioned about judgements in Skyhold and talking someone down, but we will see.

If you are concerned about your romance options, just remember that the game costs $60. You can get laid in real life for less than that.

These threads are clogging the forum.  I wonder, do you guys even know who you sound...?  Because from this gay player's perspective, it sounds like you're upset at merely having to be reduced to our number of options, and you feel that your status as a straight male privileges you to have more.  You should try the gay male options in Origins (Zevran) or Mass Effect 1 (a voucher to wait two games)

 

Ultimately, they're just games and you can take them or leave them.  When it comes to sexualities, I think LGBT people have a legitimate grievance with the gaming industry, because  human beings are creatures of stories, and if you don't appear in any stories or hardly any, it's as if you don't exist.  BioWare addresses this well, and most of us are excited to have such good representation - and gay men and lesbians are finally present, as in ME3.

 

Straight males are in zero danger of disappearing from stories, though.  Trust me, your stories are going to be told again and again and again.

Try to look at it from a different perspective:

Number of male LIs from DAO that couldn't be disgraced or killed for plot reasons: 0

Number of male LIs from DA2 that couldn't be disgraced or killed for plot reasons: 0

 

Let's not try to rain on other fans' parades for a change.
